This location is a usually quiet place to have lunch and dinner with your spouse or a friend or a small group of people. On our last two visits, we found one of our orders to be so salty as to be inedible! We were offered to be "comped" for the salty dish or given the opportunity to order again, but after appetizers I wasn't that hungry anymore anyway so I took the comp. Wait staff always been apologetic (we don't think it's their fault!). I am starting to wonder if the entrees are factory prepackaged and reheated, to be perfectly honest with you! The appetizers are always a hit with us. We've tried deep-fried pickles, nachos with spinach queso, and, most recently, a platter of nachos, individual chips laid out in a circle and covered with a meaty chili and cheeses then broiled. That was sooo good, we thought. We were very hungry. Friend had a burger and said it was good. I tasted his French fries and they are above average. We don't drink, but there is a bar with separate seating in it from the main dining room. A few booths, some cocktail tables, and the bar surround are the seating options in there. We have even requested to be sat there when there are a lot of kids in the dining room. Generally though there aren't many children. It's not that we have anything against kids, we just need/want peace and quiet when we go out after a long day, which is a rare treat for us. I noticed the main dining room has a lot of booths, which we prefer, and the biggest one I saw could probably seat 5 comfortably
The place is clean, well decorated, somewhat dark, and cozy. It's in a nice part of town. The Harkin's Movie Theater is across the street, along with a nest of other dining and retail establishments, and you could walk to and from Chili's if you were a guest at Hampton Inn and Suites (2901 N Glassford Hill Rd) -- a 2-star hotel with a 4.5-star guest rating on Google. This whole area (Pav Way, Main St--WHICH ISN'T A THROUGH WAY DESPITE WHAT YOUR GPS SAYS! 😉--and Glassford Hill Rd are the hub of this part of the valley, with IHOP, Wendy's, Fry's grocery, Walmart, Kohl's and Chili's all within 2 miles from one another. Bank of America and Wells Fargo are just up a ways off Pav Way, at Lake Valley Road. So it's a great destination for travelers who want a familiar bite. Do me a favor though, if your food is too salty like mine has been the last two times, report it! Maybe they'll do something about it if enough people say something! Oh, their desserts are all yummy, BUT, they ALL (at time of review) require to be eaten immediately (topped with ice cream, etc.). Sometimes we enjoy taking dessert home and sharing as a late night indulgence, so that's not possible with their...
Read moreNormally when I go to Prescott, I have my favorite eating places I normally go to. On Wed Jan 26th, 2024, I decided to go to Chilis for lunch and looked at their menu before deciding to eat there. Their lunch specials seemed good so we stayed.
The restaurant was different than other Chili's, it was modern, wide open and cool atmosphere. A server came to our table and had bright cheerful personality, her name was Britney. My mom ordered the chicken sandwich lunch special and I ordered the double beef burger special. We barely got done ordering and the soup and salad were already at the table. The baked potato soup was really good. Finally the meal arrived. WOW ! what great portions of food, Fries were done crispy as requested and the burger and chicken were awesome.
From start to finish, Britney was cheerful, accommodating, friendly and unrushed, not the usual anymore, but rare. I am a business man, and I take notice of how customers are treated and dealt with everywhere I go. Britney would be a compliment and a prize to any customer related business. Now days, most people seem board at their jobs, do not care about customers and just want their pay check and go home.
Britney ..... your are a prize ! Your manager should take notice of your great qualities and customers skills, but Corporate needs to cherish people that actually like their jobs and the business they choose to work at and represent a business with class. Britney is a compliment to the Chili's business and because of the great food and perfect service that day, Chili's is now on my list to eat at in Prescott, AZ and I am there often.
Hats off to you Britney, you are rare find in the world of business anymore, where old fashioned service is a thing of the past. I would hire you in a second. If Chili's doesnt appreciate your skills in a world of self entitled people, they are blind and will be at a loss. If the service is poor, it doesnt matter how good the food is, they both have to be there. Chili's, YOU NAILED IT. Employees are half of a business's success, take notice of Britney, you hired a great someone who represents your business to capture and keep a customer, in a tough business world.
I will be back for another burger, You can credit Britney for that. Your...
Read moreRecently I have had nothing but issues with Chili's. My husband and I have tried different locations with the same results. I'm not sure why we keep going. It's like insanity, doing the same thing and expecting different results.
We ended up at this location after a last minute excursion on New Years day to enjoy snow. (We habitat in the valley.) We had planned to eat elsewhere but it was New Years and closed. No worries there, the motivation for the trip was snow not the restaurant. That was our bad for not calling ahead.
Chilli's was open, and honestly, it's one of the few places that when done correctly, my husband and I can both find something to eat. He's so picky. Usually they screw up his burger. He wants it plain and dry - just meat and bun - it's always messed up. This time however, it was my food. I ordered the cajun chicken pasta. Half way through my meal, and after some silent thoughts of trepidation concerning food poisoning, I confessed to my husband that my food was cold.
He found humor in my confession and went on to inform me that he had overheard the people next to us sending their food back for the same reason. Being me, I don't like to cause a fuss or make a scene so I continued to eat throwing caution to the wind. (I just complain anonymously on the internet) Nonetheless, it was yet another less than satisfying meal.
Idk what the deal was that night. It wasn't busy. Maybe the cook was upset to be working on the holiday and decided to leave the food outside for a few minutes. 😂
I would like to note that I didn't get food poisoning. That could be very damaging for a restaurant and I don't want to insinuate that I did. It...
