I do not not generally leave bad reviews, I have been in some kind of customer service my entire life and it does not sit well with me. That being said I grew up in dairy queen as my mother owned a DQ location in CO where I grew up so I know how things should be. Tonight my family and I decided to take a nice 10 block walk to DQ after the rain storm, we arrived at 740pm, my 10 year old daughter and husband walked in while I stayed outside with our dog. They walked out and said they would not be able to get icecream as the staff said they were closed. I walked over to the door to check the hours only to have the kid working meet me at the door to tell me they close at 10 but will only help drive through customers since one employee was leaving shortly. I explained we walked and specifically came just to get my daughter icecream and I asked them to please make my daughter an icecream seeing as we arrived prior to them closing or even locking their lobby. We were denied by the kid working, this is the most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced and the owner and management should be embarrassed. I am sure glad that my staff never would have treated a single paying...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I don't even know why I even give this one star if I could give this business zero Stars I absolutely would! To begin our experience we pull up to the menu which the light was off so I assumed it was closed however the business hours stated that they were open until 9 p.m. and it was 8:40 p.m. Then over the loudspeaker the CSR proceeded to tell me that their manager was counting their drawer not only did she expose that there was Cash currently exposed but told me that she couldn't do anything for 20 minutes.... Then following that two csrs came out of what would appear to be there back door carrying trash as if they were closing down for the night. One of the Csr's there was completely rude when we asked if whether or not we should wait or leave and with a serious attitude she stated it's your choice. When I asked for a corporate number or the owners number she stated that the owner was currently counting the drawers down. She then gave us a bag which has the corporate number on it and then slammed the drive-thru window behind her before we left. SMH customer service has died and gone...
Read moreI have many fun memories of going to Dairy Queen for their blizzards in my youth. However the cost is absolutely too insane these days. And compared to other similar products, They are most expensive and have the smallest portion size.
If I want iced milk, I can get a large sonic blast (32 oz With extra mix ins) For the same price I paid today at Dairy Queen for 21 ounces (large blizzard $9.68) About the same quality as Dairy Queen, but a much bigger serving.
Culvers is most definitely the best deal, with a large concrete mixer of the day (24 oz with extra mix ins) for between 7-8$. And they have proper frozen custard… Not watery ice milk.
I’m not sure why Dairy Queen is so much more expensive compared to their competitors. It’s just cheap fast food iced milk. You would think things would be cheaper if the quality isn’t there… Apparently not the way the world works anymore.
It saddens me that I have to say goodbye to one of my favourite childhood fast food joints, But they have definitely gone crazy with...
