Arrived today at 25 after 11 to beat the lunch crowd, did not help. Although the place was empty it took 35 minutes to get a pizza. Our server was prompt coming to the table but it was down hill from there. They kept walking past our table with take out,so it was really evident they value them more than the people who actually took the time to come in. Sitting there for 35 minutes would it have killed them to offer us a little something while we waited? Then a lady with a pony tail and glasses,I guess she was playing manager today, says our order will be out shortly as they had gotten really backed up with take out. Seems they have not managed the fine art of of interspersing the whole in and out thing. Finally our pie came out and was not what we ordered. We asked for really light on the cheese and what was presented was like double extra cheese. We told her we could not eat that. Then she wants us to wait even longer for them to make another one. When I complained about the long wait for the food in the first place and now this, she cops a huge attitude, and starts telling us we can just leave, an offer we could not refuse. As we were walking out of the place she is yelling at us the whole time. The only thing I caught was "people make mistakes". She was right our mistake was coming here in the first place. For a place that serves mediocre italian food at best, the staff should not be so extremely rude. ( we are from Philly , this place would not last a week there). If I could find a way to complain directly to the owner I would point out that this woman should not be allowed to interact with customers and should be limited to carrying the take out to the front counter. The sad part is we bought $75 worth of gift cards at costco that now we probably will never use. Plus I had to go back to work with no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhy I wonāt dine at Rosaās Pizza any more.
I have always enjoyed meals at Rosaās Pizza, but it wasnāt until my last visit on Feb 5 that I was exposed to their offensive (and likely illegal) practice of ārounding upā the bill for cash payment. I paid the $31.65 bill with a $50 and they counted out whole bills for the ārounded upā amount of $32. I asked about the change and they said they never give back loose change, that they always round up - that it is ānormalā. I must have been absent the day that this became ānormalā because I thought it was always my prerogative to offer the establishment to ākeep the changeā or for me to put it into a tip or donation jar, or to keep it. In this case, while they offered to get the manager and āgo get my changeā, the two ladies working together at the front behaved like I was annoying them, rather than them being the slightest bit apologetic. Without a sign or other disclosure that clearly states the practice of ārounding upā for cash purchases, this practice, according to the Attorney General, amounts to an undisclosed charge and a deceptive trade practice - itās illegal. in my mind, what they were telling me translated to āthanks for paying the bill - weāre going to steal a bit of your money now and hope you wonāt notice.ā When I asked them if the same ārounding upā would apply if I paid using a credit card, which costs the restaurant a couple of percent in processing fees, they said I would be charged the exact amount of the bill. I think they should change their practice and consider whether the ill will and damage to business that negative reviews can cause is worth the small extra income the ārounding upā...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my second visit to Rosa's in Prescott Valley, hoping for a better experience than the first. Unfortunately, my recent visit was just as disappointing, if not more so. We arrived around 3:00 PM on a Sunday and despite the restaurant not appearing to be overly busy, the service was incredibly slow. It took a significant amount of time to be greeted and even longer to receive our food. When it finally arrived, it was clear that the order was incomplete. Our server had forgotten to put in half of what we ordered. While I understand that restaurants, especially new locations, can face challenges, the issues here seem to stem from more than just growing pains. The combination of understaffing and a clear lack of attention to detail from the waitstaff resulted in a frustrating and forgettable dining experience. The food itself was a major disappointment. It lacked flavor and felt uninspired, a far cry from what one would hope for from a local Mexican restaurant. It seems that in their expansion to Prescott Valley, Rosa's has compromised on both customer service and food quality. I sincerely hope the management takes note of these issues and invests in more training for their staff and a renewed focus on the quality of their dishes. Until then, I cannot recommend this location. Overall Rating: 1...
