Please, at all costs avoid this Sonic!
For this review I'm cutting straight to the chase. My significant other and I got food poisoning from this Sonic on Tuesday June 14, 2022. The past 72 hours have been painful and disgusting as we have yet to recover from our symptoms which have included diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, bloating, dizziness, dehydration, slightly high fever, insomnia, and general muscle pain from throwing up. We both woke up the next morning within an hour of each other, throwing up and feeling dehydrated and sick.
I had ordered a large peanut butter shake and she ordered a blueberry slushy while we both shared the jalapeno cheddar poppers, which we have deduced caused our illness since that was the only thing we shared.
Frankly, our illness is so severe that I will be contacting the local health department to possibly help intervene because of how sick I feel. Even as I write this review 3 days later I am still feeling the effects which has prevented me from preforming necessary daily tasks for school.
While I sympathize with the food service industry as a whole, the lack of cleanliness that must exist to result in our illness which indicates the appalling state of management and employee cleanliness means I have no remorse in such a terrible review. As such, I refuse to ever visit another Sonic ever again and will advocate against this establishment unless it changes its health practices or is closed.
Edit: After writing this review I have visited the Yavapai County Health Services Website to find multiple reports of faults in the sanitary procedures of this Sonic, prompting me to contact the health department...
Read moreI went there last night to get the 1/2 price shakes . When I got there I waited for 10 mins after I push the button to get someone to take my order nobody answer . Then I went to drive thru . I order my drinks and I keep repeating my self what I wanted and when arriving to the window there was a car in front of me and one behind me and the one behind me got there order. I was watching them like mine my cups were messy they were wiping it with a towel not sure how clean that towel was . And then it was my turn to get my drinks the guy at the window was just passing me my drinks not telling me what ones they were I had to guess what one where who’s . I asked if the buttons works on the other side he said they should I said no they don’t I waited for 10 mins . He didn’t apologize. And I asked what drinks were which he said I don’t know . I left as I’m driving one of my drinks were leaking they gave me a broken cup at the bottom they were a mess with chocolate on all cups smeared. So as I was driving I called to talk to the manager he was kinda rude as well he wasn’t listen to my complaints and said he can make me new ones I said don’t why waste my time to go again it’s not worth it . Even when he was talking to me he kept saying what I can’t hear u . The rest of the co workers we’re talking loudly and he wasn’t paying attention. So I said I will never go there again . What a bad place it was never like that . And I won’t be wasting my money to go...
Read moreUpdate 4 Months later: Went to sonic and they could not hear me over there drive through ordering speaker. I turned my car off to see if that would help matters and tried to speak up the lady was still unable to hear me and asked if I could pull up to the window. I obviously didn’t have a choice. As there are 3 other cars in front of me I tried calling and explaining I was in the drive through and asked if I could order on the phone cause I have a rather larger order another lady explained no they will need to take it at the window. Is it just a wild concept to me that you wouldn’t take my order over the phone as I was waiting in the drive through. Also the speaker has been needing replaced for ever now so it’s not just a sudden new problem. Lastly accommodate taking someone’s order if your equipment is not working now my wait time is significantly higher and so is the cars behind me. —————— We love sonic but having to wait 20 min for a single drink is outrageous. When you have a line of cars what happened to helping the customers with single drink orders if the people in front are waiting on other things? I just went and again waited 15 min they gave the car behind me my food before me and they had 2 large bags of food how does that make sense? We get home and the burgers are not even put together falling apart so sloppy! Management is so worried about charging for extra sauces and can’t even get the food presentation or customer...
