After the great reviews my husband and I were excited to try Yellowleaf and must have caught them on a bad day. My husband’s coffee was watery and had a burnt residual taste to it and was not good, he ended up not drinking it. We debated going back, but the exit out of the area is such a pain it just wasn’t worth it and they had become slightly busy.
I opted for one of their freezes (campfire I think). The ghram cracker at the bottom was interesting and the drink overall was way too sweet. The drink did have a slight residual burnt flavor, but it was tolerable with the many syrups used.
I rated the atmosphere as three stars as the employees were curt and not overly engaging, more get in and get out, which was surprising for the area. Everyone has an off day, so overall not a big deal. The issue we had was getting out of the area. You cannot turn left to get back on the main road, so it’s moderately inconvenient to get turned back around. The location is fairly poor if you’re trying to get in and get out.
We will try again, as we know as business owners one thing is just a snapshot and not an overall reflection of the business, but there are some things that might be helpful to others we would’ve liked to have...
Read moreI love yellow leaf and have been going here religiously for years. The girls working are usually so sweet and attentive, but this time was different. I pulled up and saw a blonde curly haired girl that I had never seen working before. She opens the window and I’m ready to order, but she’s standing there gossiping and laughing with the other girl inside for about 15 seconds before finally turning to me and going “Hi.” I order, but she is short with me and seems annoyed that I interrupted her social time to make her do her job. She hands me a freeze with no whipped cream (even though I wanted it) because she was too distracted talking to even ask me if I wanted any. I thought about asking her to correct it but ended up just driving away because her attitude was so off putting. Up until this point I had never had a negative experience here but it’s sad how one careless employee can change the way you view/visit a business. I’m also a barista so I understand having bad days, but making customers feel unwelcome because of your own feelings...
Read moreEvery time I go to Yellowleaf there are a mass amount of bees everywhere and they even get in my car, last week I notified the worker and she said yeah it’s a problem. I told her they could put a bit of honey a few feet away from the window and they’d leave the window or at least lessen the issue. She explained they e tried that and customers complained because bees were drowning. Today when I got my coffee, after drinking some of it I noticed a drowned bee in my coffee. This is unsanitary, and dangerous as bees still sting after they’re dead and if someone with a bee allergy drinks a bee, they will die! This is not a small issue, but rather a very serious and major problem that should be addressed and resolved not just a that’s just the way it is attitude. Update: the manager reached out and offered to bring my coffee across the parking lot, and apologized and explained the issue. It’s unfortunate but...
