I went to McDonald's expecting the same service I got every time I have been there. Fast and cordial. I was not disappointed in this regard. The staff were friendly, and the food was as good as to expect.
The story really begins with a cop having pulled over two kids in a truck, and blocking in my car in the process. I thought to myself, "this wont take long." But the following events are what unfolded: 5 minutes into the traffic stop, the cop was already getting the blue latex gloves on. After 7 minutes, the secondary officer arrives and they proceed to have the young men get out of the car, and give the driver a pat-down. 25 minutes in the K-9 officer arrives with the most adorable little puppers you have ever seen in your life, and they begin the sniffing. 26 minutes in and the dog paws at a spot on the drivers side and sits down. I'm assuming this is the sign for positive ID on a scent. 27 minutes in and the officer begins his search of the vehicle and all bags inside. 34 minutes in the long haired driver laughs in a manner that made me believe he was movking the officers. Not too smart considering the next minutes. 45 minutes in (mind you my car is still blocked in) the officer goes back to his can and gets an evidence bag. 47 minutes in and the officer fills said bag with a substance and some paraphernalia. I did not catch a good look at what it was, but whatever it was, there seemed to be a hefty amount. 52 minutes in and the officer begins dialogue with the long haired driver of the vehicle. The officer only says a few words before the driver began talking much more. Lots of hand movements and lots of words. Too much in my opinion, but I'm sure the driver was nervous having been caught with what i can only assume was drugs. 57 minutes, the officer places cuffs on the driver and in the car he goes. After 1 hours and 10 minutes the officer turns loose the passenger, and drives away driver in custody. Only a few minutes later I got in my car and left.
Tldr; Spent 1.25 hours watching someone get busted for drugs, and was made to wait because my car was blocked in by multiple cop cars.
Side note: was not expecting a show with my meal, but it was a welcome surprise. Side note 2: The drugs were kept in a fish shaped bag. An interesting...
Read moreUnfortunately I did not receive a receipt so I couldn’t take the McDonald’s survey, so I will be posting my review here. My cashier was Makayla and I have nothing but great things to say about her! Her upsell skills are amazing for starters! I know how tricky upsell can be working in the fast food industry but she had me sold when she offered to make me fresh fries if I got a combo! She is the friendliest McDonald’s employee I’ve ever encountered, and possibly the friendliest out of any fast food place. She provides fast service with a smile. GIVE THIS GIRL A RAISE!!! She works hard for it!!! About my meal: my whole meal was hot, accurate, and absolutely delicious! I came here last night and the fresh quarter pounder was so good I came back again tonight! It came out really fast too despite my whole meal being made to order food because of the fresh fries as well. I was in and out of this drive thru in less than five minutes which made me very happy because I was ready to get home after an exhausting day of work. This McDonald’s has the best customer service I’ve ever had at any McDonald’s. I’ll...
Read moreToday was interesting. I went to this Mcdonalds for a friend that was getting out of the hospital. They wanted a unsweet tea with an extra cup of ice. I figured thats the least I could do for this sole after surgery. I order the large unsweet teas (2) and the large ice. The teas were 99 each and I was charged 75 cents for the cup of water. I wanted ICE not water. I think its a little ridiculous that I paid 75 cents for ICE when I could have had a full soda for 99. I was informed I didn't pay for the ice or water but the 75 cents was for the cup? It's only 100 degrees out and if I would have known that McDonalds charges 75 cents for a CUP I would have just ordered another tea or Sprite for 99 cents. The cost isn't the issue as much as it is the principle of the order itself.
I think that it is PETTY that a big corporation charges for an empty (free ice/water) cup when we live in one of the hottest States and we are in a heat wave. We have homeless people out in the heat and they need to have access to water and a lot of them don't have the 75...
