The drinks are always beautiful š I was coming here before the branded Moussetache drinks were available and I really love the Traditional Indian drinks as well. Something so unique to the area.
I highly recommend trying the Pink Tea and Indian Chai. The atmosphere is meant to be cute and cozy. I often bring a book and plan to leisurely sip tea out of a select mug while I am there.
I have asked about some of the other specialty/local menu drinks and will attempt to summarize here so you don't have to guess as much (though I encourage you to ask the staff):
Pink tea- a blend of various spices, mildly sweet but also a hint of salt. Very pleasant
Poly juice Potion- a blend of fruit juices with a dollop of Sherbet for fizz
Butterbeer (so good!)- cream soda with butterscotch and generous dollop of whipped cream (no alcohol)
Jack Sparrow Brew/Grog- something with non-alcoholic rum flavor. Have yet to try but sounds good.
Indian Chai- spicy, warm, comfort drink. More peppery than normal chai maybe. Must try at least once
Rooh Afza- a rose, floral iced drink
Mango Lassi- sweet and a little tart, iced
As for the new Moussetache branded drinks I have this far tried a hot Taro beverage and the Cold Taro Cream cheese Moussetache w/o Boba. Excited to try more of these. They recently just started serving them in July 2024. So go back if you haven't been since!!!
Food wise my husband and I have tried the vegetable biryani which was really yummy. I look at this place primarily as a drink stop but the food is offered as a bonus. There are limited dining tables to eat inside which may deter some people but the food is mostly packaged to be taken to-go but yes, eating there is an option too.
It is evident the owner pours her heart and soul into this place and I think people should give it a try :) Check out the Facebook page if you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOdd place, disappointed in the food and service.. Went there for a date night, walked in and told them that we had heard great things and we were really excited to try! The employee responded with āYeah ok well weāre out of any desserts and we close in an hour.ā Not a great way to start but figured he was just being direct. Ordered the samosas, buttered chicken & chicken tikka masala, and a couple drinks.
Food wise - Samosas had been sitting around a while, not crispy at all but had some good flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala was nearly flavorless which was a surprising bummer, but the Buttered Chicken was good. Small portion though :/ husband said he could have eaten two, he was still a bit hungry. They also forgot about our drinks and we didnāt get them until long after our food arrived. The original moussetache with boba was the best part, everything else was quite disappointing..
As we were walking out (10 min before close) he closed the garage gate right behind us. Just weird things that made us feel like we werenāt welcome there.
Thoughts for the owners - Bigger portions, MUCH more seasoning in the Chicken Tikka Masala, and figure out how to fry your Samosas fresh per order, that would make the whole experience so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really excited to see another Indian restaurant open in Prescott. My wife and I ordered samosas, butter chicken, and a chai. We sat in the waiting area and to my surprise I heard a microwave go off.
The samosa were not fresh, mushy, and bland because they sat in a warming machine all day.
The microwave reheated butter chicken was tough and stringy because of the reheating. The sauce was tasty but overshadowed by the poor quality of meat. The real kicker was the $16.99 chicken dish ONLY HAD FIVE SMALL BITES OF CHICKEN. Iām a quality over quantity person, but the store should be embarrassed.
I thought Iād finish the meal off with the chai, but when I started drinking it i realized the milk was sour. Very disappointing.
Three out of three were poorly done. I donāt think Iāll give them another chance, and give this store less than six months if they donāt figure out how to...
