Ok. So this mall used to be wonderful. Sadly even before covid, a lot of stores started closing down. It seems a lot off employees don't even care. One of the few places my kids and I loved visiting in this mall was Dairy Queen. After some fun in the soft play we would stop for some ice cream in the food court. Today I had a very disheartening experience. We stopped at dairy queen like usual for some ice cream. I saw a lady in front of me being helped, so I obviously waited. I saw Robin (the cashier) Was the only one working. And it seemed she had a very nice attitude towards the lady in front of me. I felt sympathetic towards her. I wanted to let her know what a great job she was doing when it was my turn. Unfortunately her attitude completely changed when it was my turn. Idk what I did for that to happen, But I wasn't even greeted. I thought... ok? Maybe I just start to order. I started ordering and I ordered an item that was on the menu and she flat out says "we don't have that" not that it was her fault, but she was not apologetic at all. The attitude she gave me for no reason at all, was not called for. I said ok... and I chose something else. Then as I started to pull out my money to pay she says do you have anything smaller? (I had a 50) I let her know "I don't have change. That's when she said "well then I can't change it" with a shoulder shrug, Again with attitude like saying "then leave" again not apologetic or sympathetic enough to say "I'm sorry. but I don't have change for that bill, we have been quite slow etc.." I don't want to make this about race, but I really can't find anything else that could have made her change her attitude so quick. My kids were on the verge of tears because we left. I am so thankful that they were raised without prejudice, and that they didn't understand what happened except for that they didn't get their ice cream cone. Safe to say that I will definitely be avoiding the food court...

My hooligan friends and I used to haunt this place in our teenage years. Flaming Wok was the best spot in the food court. My first job was at Buckle—when Chris was still the manager—and I later worked at Anchor Blue (twice) and the Green Tea HP weight loss scam-stand before it shut down. We stupid teen boys would patrol the mall with heathenous intentions—I nearly died in the parking lot in one eventful round of our shenanigans.
But that’s all gone now.
What remains is the shell of a monument to greed and envy that siphons the funds out of any eager California-convert foolhardy enough to ignore the telltale signs of a bad investment. Sears is now a sports complex with a large banner over its entrance declaring, “OPEN TO THE PUBLIC”; Barnes and Noble is a seasonal Halloween sham; Victoria couldn’t keep her Secret; Footlocker walked out.
On any given day, you can drive up to this parking lot, select any of the multitude of open spaces, park, walk inside, and behold the fallout of the American consumer machine.
But bring your own lunch…
…unless you like Dairy...

Poorly maintained. Many times in the morning there is trash overflowing in the trash cans as security guard chases dog walkers around. The security guard said he saw my dog go poop and told me to pick it up. I told him that he couldn't have seen it because he didn't poop yet. Sometimes he pees like a girl dog because he's getting old. The security guard continued to tell me to pick it up. I had an paper cup that I carry for that purpose and so instead of arguing I picked up the poop and through it away.
I told him he couldn't have seen it because it didn't happen. He said he poked a stick in it, it was fresh. WOW! Do you think I'm the only one that was there with a dog on the outside of the mall? I think he's losing his mind. He's the supervisor for the security guards (according to him) and I've talked to him before. He seemed like a nice guy until recently.
Prescott Gateway Mall is a poorly run mall that has had a number of owners and they can't seem to get it back to it's previous self. Time to...
