Games People Play — Local services in Prescott

After a move to Prescott, Arizona last year, we wanted to have our pool table put back together so, with Games People Play being local, we hired Games People Play to do the install. We had ordered enough Simonis cloth for a 9 foot table from an online company (we have an 8ft table). After our new Simonis cloth was installed by Games People Play, it had to be taken off of our table six times by the installer at Games People Play for the following reasons, debris being left under the cloth, the joints coming apart, the table not being level and the rails had so many ripples in them, the ball would not follow the rail. The cloth was removed by us and we were going to do the install because it seemed that the job could not be completed by them. Instead we called Games People Play and Mark, the owner, accused us of bumping it with a fork lift and causing the problems. Our table sits on the second floor and would be impossible to get the fork lift to the table. He also called us liars. Bottom line, Games People Play has refused to do anything about getting an installer to fix the problem. Even though he had access to another installer, he refused to pay for it. Yes, after paying Games People Play, they refused to fix their mistakes when we asked for a different installer. We had to call another installer (one he "encouraged" us to call at our cost. Our Simonis cloth supplier, was shown pictures of the cloth that was hacked by Games People Play's installer. The response was, "I think the cuts the installer made for the pockets may be too deep into the bed. Probably best to get a new bed cloth unless you were putting it on a smaller table." Don't let Games People Play play games with you. I have read so many other reviews about how they weren't able to complete work that people were lead to believe they could finish. I left my dart board with them because they said they could probably fix it in a few hours for less than 200 dollars. 6 months and over 600 dollars later, i still had no dart board. I had to let them keep it because they wanted to charge labor (even though the dart board still didn't work), so i basically paid 600 to be back at square 1 with my dart board functionality.

Furthermore, they have zero communication skills whatsoever. Every update during this time was initiated by me on how my dart board was coming along. DO NOT give them business unless you want to lose money and your property to this company. I just wish i had seen a review before i did business with them. Also, they completely backtracked everything by saying THEY made phone calls to me in their written notes. I have the phone records that show a max of 3 or 4 calls made by them to me, and that was typically them calling me back after asking for an update.
