A couple issues with this McDonald’s first off the location. When they are a bit busy during lunch and you want to go through the drive thru the building is so close to the street it requires you to wait in the middle of the road a safety hazard. Dodging on coming traffic having your car half in half out of the driveway. Secondly instead of a easy exit out of the drive thru like most restaurants you need to make a sharp right turn. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen people drive forward over the embankment assuming it was a easy straight out. Once again due to it being so close to the street. The oddest part Is directly behind the restaurant is a huge parking lot which is rarely used I’ve seen maybe a few cars there ever. There is plenty of room to move the building back so a easy exit out of drive thru is possible. Or avoid the awkward right turn and put in a driveway straight ahead. But that still wouldn’t solve the dodge and dash of waiting in traffic to get through the drive thru.
The building itself is showing its age maybe the best thing to do is level it build new updated and further back from the street.
Can we talk about extra expenses here as well I had ordered a chicken sandwich extra mayo. I didn’t get extra mayo I thought ok I’ll go tell them just a few mayo packets and I can put it on myself no big deal. when I let them know I was told they charge extra for sauce packets you know the tiny little ones every where else gives out free. And I’d have to pay for them. But I asked for extra mayo and paid for it already absolutely ridiculous. Any thing extra is a charge. In front is a sauce dispenser that’s great in the day time but is gone at night so let’s say you want sweet and sour for your nuggets that’s a charge because they took the pumps out. I honestly cringe asking for anything because I know it’s a charge. Where most restaurant will say great how many oh just two is fine here I ask for two get one free charged for the next.
Don’t go late nights a couple times I did I learned that the fries are soggy the burgers Luke warm the chicken well hockey puck taken from a warmer and tossed on a bun.
The dining room most times is dirty the trash overflowing while an employee stand behind the counter doing nothing. How hard is it to grab a towel walk into the lobby and check the tables are clean, see the trash isn’t full the floor is swept and that it’s in good order for customers?
Extra charges, dirty dining area, Luke warm food, drive thru hazards, sorry if you don’t care about quality or freshness or don’t mind dodging traffic this is a great place. If you do care about fresh food, good service, cleanliness, not putting your life at risk dodging traffic, having a pleasant experience, you might just want to skip this one it fails in...
Read moreThis is a major concern about employees at this McDonald's in Presque Isle Maine that they do not pay attention to orders that they hand out to the customers in the Drive-Thru or inside the store. I run my own business and on the road constantly and stopping into McDonald's at multiple times a day several times a week and when I go to do my mobile order and I get to the window and they hand me a bag I get down the road I look and it's not what I ordered. This has happened multiple times in the past and multiple times again this week and today August 3rd 2022. It's about the fourth time this has happened this week and we're only into Wednesday. I go to order breakfast if not what I ordered and to take my time to go back to the restaurant get out of my vehicle go in wait in line so they can fix my order. This is very costly to me and not very efficient and I understand that people make mistakes but this is constantly every day handing out the wrong orders to the wrong people and multiple customers very unhappy with the service. Just a couple days ago I ordered 2 McChickens no lettuce, no Mayo add cheese and a large fry on the mobile app. I get the order at the window I get across town I pull over to eat my lunch and open the bag there's a small fry and a plain Big Mac. If employees cannot pay attention to our orders are in the bag to make sure they are tagged right and make sure the right order gets to the right customer then something needs to be done with management or corporate. Read moreI dont often complain; I too hate reviews that start like that, but I don't. I went through the drive through of this place yesterday and ordered a large soda. I dont drink coffee, so that's my daily caffeine fix. When I was handed the soda I couldnt really believe how much space was empty at the top of it. There was an inch and a half maybe two inches of the cup unfilled. My gut was to ask for it to be filled, but the line was long and the staff was flat out so I didnt want to bother. I chalked it up to a one off and let it go. Went back again today and shame on me. Again though the line was long and I didnt want to grind things to a halt so I could whine about a nickles worth of soda. Luckily the internet was created for devoting too much time to avenge slights, real or imagined.
