This was my second time dining at the Outback in Prosper, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and friendly. Perfect for a great night out.
I started off with the wings, which were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. For my main course, I had the 12 oz Prime Rib, Outback style, cooked medium rare just how I like it, topped with garlic butter. It came with a side of rice and a sweet potato, and let me tell you, every bite was fantastic. The sweet potato was cooked to perfection, and the garlic butter brought a rich depth to the steak. I really appreciated how Chef Chris came out and made sure my prime rib was cooked exactly to my liking. He was incredibly respectful, attentive to my preferences, and took real pride in his work.
The service was also outstanding. Charlie, my server, went above and beyond, he was friendly, engaging, and very attentive. We had some great conversations throughout the night, and it felt like he genuinely cared about my dining experience. The managers, Brandon Pete, and Jessi also took time to stop by and check in. They were personable, professional, and added a great touch to the overall hospitality.
Even the owner, Eric, made an impression. He took a moment to chat with me, and he was just as kind and welcoming as the rest of the staff. It’s rare to find an owner who’s so hands-on and involved, it really shows in the quality and culture of the restaurant.
This place doesn’t just serve great food, it delivers an experience. I’ll definitely be coming back often. Highly recommend Outback in Prosper to anyone looking for great food, friendly service, and a team that...
Read moreI sincerely hope my visit was an outlier, but I somehow doubt it. The blooming onion was undercooked, with raw batter in the middle and bottom. My wife ordered a medium steak, and it came out well done. We ordered a medium well for our little one, it came out rare. My teenager ordered a medium steak, and it came out rare. My other teenager's burger was dry and overdone. I could tell my salmon had sat under a heat lamp for a long time as its sauce had crusted over, it did at least have flavor. Everyone else said theirs was very bland. We practically had to beg for refills. To top all of this off, we waited an hour and a half for the food to be delivered and spent a total of two hours in the restaurant as we were sat immediately. I write very few negative reviews, and honestly, I should probably be giving them one star, but as I said at the beginning... I hope my visit was an outlier and not the norm. Waiting an hour and a half for food with a hungry toddler is pure torture. We weren't informed of any possible delay until 30 minutes after ordering. I was hoping for a decent alternative to the only other steakhouse franchise nearby, but as of now, that doesn't look promising. Poor communication with customers, a slow kitchen, and inadequate training of waitstaff left a bad taste in my mouth for this Outback. No, I didn't complain, I felt we had been there long enough. Management was aware of these issues as we weren't the only ones there for a long time. If they didn't feel the need to correct anything or even stop by our table (not once), then that just further proves my point. Stay away until they get things...
Read moreMy husband and I love Outback Steakhouse so we were very excited to try the new location here in Prosper. Overall their service was great. The ladies at the desk got us seated very quickly on a busy night. Our server was excellent and very friendly. Our only complaint was that during our meal, one of the managers and another lady who I think was working in the bar decided to lean on the half wall that separates the bar area from the two top small tables where we were seated. They seemed very unaware that they were standing right above us and they proceeded to have a long chat about other employees and the one employee’s other various complaints about her personal life. That would have been bad enough but to make it worse she kept flicking her long curly dark hair right over our table and several times, little white flecks flew onto the table and even my salad. I lost my appetite immediately and by the time my dinner arrived I was too grossed out to eat it. The friendly server boxed it up and I wanted to complain but my husband is a restaurant manager so he would have been angry at me for being a difficult customer. I ended up throwing out my meal the next day because it didn’t age well overnight in the fridge as it was salmon. I know this restaurant is new and they are working out the kinks. We will be back because we really like Outback and I’ve been eating there for over 30 years and this was the first time I’ve ever had a complaint. My husband said his meal was excellent. Again the rest of the staff was very attentive and very friendly. It’s a great restaurant an excellent...
