I drove over an hour from Plano specifically for a promotion I signed up for at this very store. Before I could even show my phone, the front counter employee — covered in facial piercings — was already shaking her head. She clearly had no interest in even trying to enter the order. Instead, she flatly claimed “we don’t participate,” despite the fact that I was able to redeem the coupon in the Smashburger app for this exact location.

When I asked if a manager could kindly override it, she immediately dismissed me: “No, a manager isn’t here and he’d say the same thing.” I explained I’d just driven an hour, and she responded with, “That’s too bad,” wearing the most dead, uncaring expression I’ve ever seen in customer service. She acted like my request was personally inconveniencing her — as if typing in an order would ruin her day.

And here’s the kicker: by the end of the interaction, after it became clear I was still getting my deal, she started to say “Have a good day,” then cut herself off and muttered “Have a—” before walking away. How does my coupon affect her in any way? It doesn’t — unless she simply had a personal problem with me.

If this is how Smashburger operates — refusing to honor their own promotions, hiring staff who bring personal grudges to work, and showing zero care for a loyal customer’s time — then they’ve lost me for good. Smashburger used to be one of my favorite places, but clearly, customer service is dead here. And what do you know , she was just lying . It worked online like a charm. This location is hands down horrible. I dont mind paying the price for good food. However I will be going to Richardson location for now on. They are serving cold food thats pre ready first off. My kids tenders were old and stale with cold fries. They had old fries sitting in warmer and served it to me and my wife. I asked for fresh fries and the manager, whis cooking, through them in the fryer and reserved them. I caled her out and she argued with me in front of guests. I asked for crispy bacon and got limp barely cooked bacon. Finally got “fresh fries” and they are just stale. Half the drinks are just sofa water, the ice machine is digusting with black moldy residue, which is build up and soda gonk from lack of cleaning. The atmosphere is more exciting in a prison. Manager just looks pissed off cause shes working. Love Smashburger, this location just flat out sucks. Do yourself a favor and apend the money at any other location.

Had to edit after eating…..Wasted money the burger was digusting had to spit it out. Great way to waste $50 dollars with the family. The burger tasted like old mcdonalds. Bland and burnt. Wash buckets not presnt whixh also means not labeld, employees are not chaning gloves after handling dirty, trash and handling their personal phones then touching food.
