I don't know about anyone else's experience with this place, but after going here almost every week for the last 6 months I'm beginning to feel like I'm in an abusive relationship. I'll explain. The chicken here is amazing. It's huge flavorful, juicy, and charred to perfection. I usually get it on a pita. The food is not the issue; it's the service. I figured cause of the neighborhood they have to be a little more direct, but I've been coming here for over 6 months and everytime I receive the same cold rude service. The ladies act as if I'm asking them for kidney. Last week I came in and asked for a chicken on pita. One of the cashiers (the shorter of the 2) is taking my order. I decide I wanted an extra piece of chicken. She says it's $5 extra, which i figured is reasonable. I come back this week and ask for just a piece of chicken breast. This time it's the taller of two women serving me. They tell me that they can't sell the chicken breast alone. Then proceed to go to the back to presumably speak with the manager. She returns and tells me it can't be done because it can only be added to a meal. I wasn't going to argue, especially because they just work there and don't decide the menu. I dont write reviews too often, but I can't justify going here anymore. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm an inconvenience when I'm a paying customer. The location on Ridgeland and Roosevelt is superior in both service and taste. Unfortunately, it's too far for lunch. I guess it's time to go back to Poor Boy, where they're able give not just delicious food but friendly service....
Read moreI’m writing this with deep disappointment in hopes that ownership finally takes notice of what’s happening at this establishment—specifically the ongoing rudeness and lack of professionalism from the woman who typically works the drive-thru window. Her attitude is consistently nasty, and it’s honestly one of the main reasons many people I know choose not to eat here anymore. She may have been there for years, but that does not excuse poor customer service.
I placed an order and got all the way home only to find that the mild sauces I paid for were missing. I let it go at first, but when I took a sip of my soda, it tasted like flat seltzer water. I called the restaurant—no answer, even though it was open and staff were there. So I had to drive back.
When I pulled up, she came to the window with an attitude and said, “What’s wrong?” No apology, no professionalism. I explained the issue and asked if my food could be remade so I could enjoy it all together. She took the bag and drink, made me new fries and a fresh soda… or so I thought.
When I got home, I discovered my beef sandwich had just been repackaged; still the exact one I took two bites from. It was not remade at all. Completely unacceptable.
This experience, unfortunately, isn’t a one-off. The attitude, the carelessness; it’s a pattern. I hope the owners actually read this and take it seriously, because this kind of service is driving loyal customers away. You can and...
Read moreI've been a Pete's French fries lover since I was a little girl and I haven't been here in years we stopped here after a funeral because we all were hungry. The food was piping hot and just as delicious as I remembered. I only tasted what was ordered because I'm on a diet 🙄😅 but the food I sampled was hot, fresh, cooked perfectly and the fries were everythingggggg I was expecting. We didn't wait in line long, they had plenty of specials like I remember as well just all in all a really enjoyable fast food trip. We weren't being rushed to finish our order like most places.. We ordered 2 hot dogs and fries, a polish and fries and an Italian beef dipped with everything. I ate some fries and tasted the beef and bit one of the hot dogs they were all very good. Go there. I want to add though the traffic to get out back onto Roosevelt is horrendous 😫. Other than that perfect. My kids enjoyed their food and so did my husband I enjoyed what I sampled. I'm happy I could make a fun food memory with my family from somewhere I used to eat in my childhood...
