I had never left a negative comment or complained about a service before, but this was the worst experience I could have had, and the worst thing is that I was with my wife and children. A very uncomfortable situation. Since we arrived we had no napkins or cutlery to eat (and they had already served us what we had ordered to eat), and when we asked who seemed to be the manager on that shift (I didn't see her name, I only saw that she had "daggers" tattooed on each arm) she answered me with a face and look as if she disliked my presence... and since I obviously don't look like I'm from London I preferred to skip any comment and just go back to the table, then due to another situation I had to ask for something else for the table but when she passed by our table, she never turned to look at us, like until the fourth time... well the cherry on the cake is that before we left, I saw two people leave and they had a kind of bag to carry their teas, and they simply gave us an Amazon box to put the teas in and leave... well maybe I can't express how unpleasant the experience was but it's a shame since I will hardly ever take my family back to a place with practically racist and classist treatment... what I also want to mention is that it's the 2nd This is the first time I've been there, and the first time, my experience had been wonderful, excellent. On that occasion I was only with my wife and we were served by a young woman with short hair and I don't remember her name but it was something like "Alezze, Aleane"... well, she was the reason why we wanted to come back and now as a family. But this time she wasn't there and well, we were terribly...
Read moreChocolate lover's paradise! I've been on a tour of their chocolate factory (in store!) and it is an amazing experience. Also, if you love REAL chocolate, DEFINITELLY do their chocolate tastings! They are eye and palate-opening and you will surprise yourself with new chocolate flavors that are true-to-bean (not sure this is a thing, but basically they carry all the amazing chocolate that actually highlights the different notes and tones that are natural to the cacao bean used. One of the founders, Phil Davis, is a good friend and he introduced us to this world of serious chocolate and food tasting. Here are some of the things they offer I recommend to all foodies: 1- Chocolate tasting (they offer a full session or just a quick one) 2- Vanilla ice cream with balsamic vinegar and strawberries (my favorite!) 3- Sipping chocolate (creamy, rich drinking chocolate, great for a cold evening out, and very satisfying) 4- I am obsessed with the chocolates they sell there. The in-house chocolate, TASTE, is a must, as well as the "Mélissa" (this one is milk-chocolate with notes of caramel! Yum!). The Lithuanian brand one (argh! Forgot the name now!) with Porcini mushrooms is surprisingly GOOD. I could go on and on...
Seriously, just go there and try out every single thing they have in the menu and on their shelves....
Read moreWent today with my mom and we ordered one hot chocolate to stay around 6 pm. Last time I went they took less than 8-10 minutes to serve me, so I was expecting the same. After 25 minutes of waiting I asked the server if she knew how much longer was it going to take for the hot chocolate to be ready, and apparently they forgot about my hot chocolate, which is fine, however she handed to me in a “to go” cup, and I told her that we wanted it to drink it there, than she looked at me and said that they were going to close in 5 minutes for a private event, that’s why she gave me in a to go cup. 🤪 Very upsetting since we were waiting there for 25 minutes and wanted to drink inside since it is freaking cold outside. She could have at least offered or handed us a second cup as courtesy for making us wait that long and kicking us out like that. I would love to go back, but because of this experience I wouldn’t even consider it to be honest. Definitely not the right way to treat a customer, especially when we went there to celebrate my birthday with some yummy hot chocolate. At least hot chocolate was good, but felt like the to go cup is a lot smaller than the portion they serve...
