My husband and I were traveling through Provo and were staying in our RV at the Elks Lodge. We noticed this place right away and said to each other, "we have to eat here before we leave." We finally stopped in for dinner on our last night. We walked across the parking lot and saw the owner out back taking a short break. We exchanged some pleasantries and headed around to the front entrance.
I had the Lemongrass Beef noodle bowl, my husband had the shrimp lo mein, and we also ordered the shrimp and pork spring rolls, knowing we'd be taking some leftover food with us.
Our food arrived promptly, and what was supposed to be hot, was hot. Oh my...my mouth was doing the happy dance with the flavors of my dish. The spring rolls were tasty, and my husband stuffed himself trying to finish his meal.
The employees were friendly and polite, all wearing a smile. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and it looked very clean. The servings were more than generous, with the prices being very reasonable. We didn't use the restrooms, so we can't comment on them.
We'd highly recommend Rolls Vietnamese restaurant. Thanks for our wonderful experience and memories. Next time, we'll definitely stop in sooner.
I do have two photos, but for some reason am unable to...
Read moreI would recommend maybe takeout if you are thinking of going here.
We had a friend order beef rice rolls from here as takeout and let us try them. They were delicious. So we thought we'd come in person.
We walked in and the place was empty on a Friday night. We were told we could sit down, and handed menus from the desk, but to come back to the desk to order because it's a pre-order place (which makes business sense), but you also have to prepay tip (which doesn't make sense).
Then we had a bit of a scammy experience because they charged us for bread, and quickly hid the receipt (-). We saw that and thought, fine, we'll just subtract from the tip. Then we thought we'd see how it would play out. The food was made quickly and brought to the table (+). However, when they delivered the pho my SO ordered, it came on a plate with bread. They placed the pho and the guy from the counter yelled at the chef/server to take away the bread in Vietnamese probably because he knew we hadn't ordered bread, he just charged it to our order. So then we watched them take it away (-). So odd.
The food was pretty good. I would go with the beef rolls and pho (+) if ordering here. The rice plate...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING with their FLAVOURS and portions. I ordered the house special Pho and it is the best pho I’ve had in Utah- better than the restaurant’s Pho 33 in Salt Lake City. The broth has deep flavour that you get from cooking it from scratch over several hours of simmering and the spices come through so nicely. I am a chili monster and normally love putting siracha into the broth but the broth was SO FABULOUS I didn’t want to taint the flavour of the broth- I just wanted to savour every drop and didn’t use any siracha. The bowl came with SO MUCH MEAT- 3X the meat of other pho restaurants! The picture of the meat was taken after eating some of the meat already. There was also at least double the amount of noodles. I love how authentic the food was and the chef and the host at the front have a thick Vietnamese accent which is an excellent sign of good pho. The restaurant is clean with lots of booth seating and the tables and condiments are very clean. This place has the best pho I’ve had in Utah, they put Pho 33 to shame and I used to think they were the best until...
