May 16, 2019 8:30 PM. Our family decided to go to captain d's. We didn't have the best experience tonight. As we walked in this evening the lady working the register was terrible and rude. She proceeds to take out order. While we are waiting for our food, the lady working the register comes out and asks if we're could wait 3 minutes for fresh hush puppies to be made. We said sure. About 2 minutes later the manager comes out and says that they are out of hush puppies and would it be ok to give us bread sticks, at this point we are like sure. When th he food arrives we immediately notice that there is curly brown hair on the bread sticks. So we decide to not eat them. During our meal, ad we are eating my husband finds another long brown hair on his fish. I go and show and tell them what we found. The register lady asks if we want more food. I said no. I go back to table tell my family let's leave. When we walk out the register lady says the manger wants to talk to me. So, I am waiting for about 5 minutes, no manager comes out. I ask again what does she want. She goes back to see where manager is, she said she is closing the safe and she will be right out. 10 minutes later. Still no manager. At this point I am getting angry. So I say to register lady is the safe in China or what. Shortly after that the manager comes out and says yes,what do you need? I reply with I wad told you wanted to talk to me. She also tries to offer me more food. Again I reply with no! Why the hell would I want more food when we already had 2 different food items with hair in them. I also stated if anything you can give me my money back. She was reluctant to give me my money back. She said how about dessert? I said no! I count wasn't your dessert I want my money back! In the end she reluctantly gave me my money back. As we are walking out the door, I here the manager say that the register was going to be short and her and the register lady start to have a disagreement. Overall, we had a horrible experience! Read moreThe food is fine.. I couldn't believe this one worker {Renee} just wanted to argue with me on pretty much everything I asked her about.. The 1st thing I told her was that the pink lemonade tasted wrong to me.. So either the ice came from icky water or maybe it wasn't mixing right or whatever is causing the funky taste.. IDK.. Cuz, I've been drinking pink lemonade since I was little & I still do.. I get the big can so it lasts for about 2 months.. She argued with me over at least 4 different things.. She didn't even try to listen to me or try to make things right.. I ended up getting the phone number from her so I could call her boss.. I had just got out of the hospital & it was the 1st thing I'd eaten & I wanted it to stay inside.. I feel they should reimburse me for my time, stress & embarrassment due to her arguing with me over everything I said.. I couldn't talk very well and my stomach hurt so bad, so I decided to call the manager later.. He needs to know that she was rude and disrespectful towards me & my friend.. I don't like people causing a scene cuz people just love to stare & for the record; She shouldn't be dealing with customer's to often.. Honestly, she needs to be watched.. Plus, she needs to get it into her brain that majority of the time the customer is always right.. Well, at least to a certain degree.. But, you never shouldn't argue with a customer let alone keep going on to the point where I finally said "I'm not going to keep on arguing with you over this.. For the record, it still doesn't taste good at all so, it's not done right.." This was my 1st time eating there.. I do like the food but, I'll have to find another location unless they decide to compensate me for the awful visit I had there & she gets reprimanded for...
Read moreUnfortunately, my recent experience at Captain D's was disappointing. While I've typically only written positive reviews, I feel compelled to share my feedback in this case. My dining companion and I ordered two white fish plates, and both of us noticed an unusual flavor. Despite adding condiments, the taste remained off. After discussing it, we decided to bring it to the attention of the staff. We were surprised when the staff suggested that one of us had eaten too much, and they only offered to replace one. The portions were quite small, which is why one looked like more had been eaten than the other. We both agreed that the issue was likely with the seasoning. While the staff apologized, they only offered to replace one of the plates. The entire experience was frustrating, as this was a simple issue to resolve. To make matters worse, the manager was nowhere to be found, even when we expressed our concerns about the seasoning. However, the owner was in the back the entire time. Overall, I was disappointed with my visit to Captain D's. I hope that the restaurant will take this feedback into consideration and improve their quality control and customer service.
