Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Pueblo

I could tell the crew was new. They were not familiar with menu items and did not include all of the toppings for the item i ordered. When I asked about it the girl argued about it until I pointed out that caramel was listed on the menu board behind her. Her respond was an eye roll.. a Tsk.. and a drizzle of caramel that mostly ran down the sides of the cup. My husband ordered a funnel cake sundae that they totally forgot about. When he asked about it 10 minutes later the staff located his funnel cake and pulled it out of the oven. It was soggy and fell apart. The pieces that landed on the counter were tossed onto the dish. The ice cream and toppings were applied and the sundae arrived without the strawberry puree. When he asked a male worker said "We're all out of that" and walked away. That's when my husband asked for his money back. I should add that 9 of the ice cream flavors were empty or nearly empty. This was on a Saturday evening . I was early. . Around 7-ish I'm sure they'd been busy earlier in the day, but I am also sure that customers who arrived after the movies let out were pretty unhappy too. Visited on 9/5/21. Line of 19 waiting in the store to get their orders taken. Waited 45 minutes. Place was dirty, service was ridiculously slow, and even the Door Dash delivery drivers were complaining about not being acknowledged. One guy was doing all the work initially while his supervisor was in the back making personal phone calls, and initially felt sorry for the guy,(Learned he was named Bryan, after hearing the supervisor call his name everytime she walked out on him), but feeling sorry for him ended when he repeatedly stopped his work to BS with customers about his personal life, and really didn't care about what he was doing. Supervisor later admitted that she sent all other employees home after Bryan had said they were busy all night. Then watched the supervisor hand a customer the restroom key, and went back to make our order without washing her hands. If Coldstone has any pride, they'll get rid of both those employees to preserve the companies reputation. They are not good...

Good ice cream that is made in house. Usually friendly service that is efficient. Not many nights this place isn’t packed but they do well considering.There are only 6 or so 2 people tables so to go is the only option most of the time. They used to greet you when you came in as a group and sing fun songs when tipped but that seems to have gone away. Our only truly bad experience was that daughter had a hair in her like it size ice cream 8/30/2019. They apologized and remade it but that is so disgusting! Since they serve food I’m not sure why don’t wear hair and beard nets like most? I think we have had our fill of Cold Stone for awhile but if you haven’t been it’s worth checking out.
