BAD TASTE IN OUR MOUTHS This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in restaurant dining. My son-in-law received a nice increase in salary so he wanted to take the family out for dinner to celebrate. His pleasure was a nice juicy steak. He knew Ruby Tuesday’s had Sirloin so that’s where we went. We seated ourselves, the restaurant was not crowded so we were waited on quickly. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. The appetizer was rather sparse and did not look like the menu item advertised. Once our orders were placed, we did not wait long, the waitress came back to tell us that the steak was a little delayed but would be out soon. She had brought the other meals at that time as she didn’t want them to get cold. After about 5-7 minutes later she came back apologizing that the steak had not even been prepared. Somehow the kitchen messed up several orders and his order had not even been started. This was a shock, more so that the manager was not the one addressing this problem. She offered to get him something else but at this point that was not going to appease a man who’s mouth was watering for the sirloin he asked for. She explained they didn’t have any thawed out. This was not a late night visit, it was well before rush hour. How does a restaurant not have food thawed for cooking. My son-in-law was appalled that this could even happen and refused any further service. My daughter asked to see the manager. It took him almost 10 minutes to come to the table and explained that the sirloins were frozen and he didn’t want to do a quick thaw. Of course, the meal was removed from the ticket. My daughter asked if he would be willing to comp for deserts and he refused. We had planned to purchase 4 deserts as well, at a cost of $13.69 each a total of $54.76. He comped us for 1 mean and drinks a total $28.49, which is a sad apology for such a great inconvenience. His demeanor lacked any empathy. We didn’t order the deserts as planned so that sale was a loss to the restaurant in addition to the steak dinner that they could not deliver. Total loss to the restaurant approximately $100.00 as well as any future business from this family. The experience was disturbing even to the children and it ruined the happy moment that was being celebrated. In my opinion this was poor management all the way around. As for the food the Classic Philly cheese steak subs were subpar. The picture says it all. My daughter said the tilapia was delicious. We won’t be gracing those doors again.
4-17-2025 I wanted to update my Google review concerning the dissatisfaction with the way a problem was handled during my families visit to Ruby Tuesday. I am happy to say that Guest relations reached out to review the situation. I was very pleased with the courteous manner in which everything was handled. They addressed our displeasure with personal concern and made me feel like a valued customer. They extended an incentive for my family to revisit the restaurant for a happier experience. It shows that customer service is a priority for them. I have always enjoyed dining at Ruby Tuesdays for good food and service so our hopes of that continuing is appreciated. Thank you for the courtesy extended to me and my family it is most...
Read moreMy Grandson and I went on a " DATE " to Ruby Tuesday on 10/16/20 at around 5:30 PM. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We were greeted when we arrived and taken to a booth. The waiter ( I do not remember his name) came over introduced his self asked for our drink order. My grandson and I both gave our drink order, and our appetizer and entree order. I ordered the 6 oz. Sirloin steak which included 2 sides. I ordered " SWEET POTATO FRIES and a SIDE SALAD. When we got our entree I got REGULAR FRIES and ZUCCHINI. The employee who delivered our meal was not the one who took our order. But I did let her know my order was not right that I ordered ' SWEET POTATO FRIES' This waitress advised me she would put in my order. looking at my plate I still knew it was not right since I didn't order Zucchini , but I couldn't remember what else I ordered. I enjoyed the steak and my fries when they arrived and yes I did eat the Zucchini. our original waiter came over to the table to ask if we wanted desert which we declined but I had a discount card I showed the waiter. He said he would take care of it and left our table, when he returned he brought our bill asked if we were paying cash or with a credit card.? I advised him we would be paying with cash, he left our bill and walked away. I was able to look at our bill and notice a charge of $ 3.99 " for a SIDE SALAD". That is when I remembered of what I had ordered to begin with. When the waiter came back to our table I advised him I had not gotten my salad. The waiter never said he was sorry for his error like he did when he forgot to order SWEET POTATO FRIES. He just kept looking at the bill which made me feel like he didn't believe me!! He finally took the bill back and said he would correct it , still there was no APOLOGY there was now ATTITUDE!! The waiter brought back the corrected bill, I had layed $ 40 dollars on the table ( 2 $ 20s) our corrected bill was $34.75 the waiter then asked me if I wanted change ? I had not even been able to look at the corrected bill so I advised him I did want change. He then really got a attitude walked over to a empty table across from us got the change which was 5 x 1s and 25c. I gave him 4 of the 1s he grabbed it off the table walked away and as a after thought said " HAVE A NICE DAY". What was suppose to be a enjoyable evening or " DATE" as my grandson called it ended with me feeling like I did something wrong. I asked my grandson who is 11yrs old if he felt like I had done something to deserve the attitude we received from this waiter? He also felt the employees last night were all "RUDE" I know what its like to live off your "TIPS" I grew up in RENO NV and worked in the Casino business for 20 plus yrs. So I explained to my grandson you are tipped on the service you provide not just because you ordered food in the restaurant. This waiter made two errors on my order and only apologized or took ownership for one. And to make me feel like I did something wrong really upset me when in fact the only thing I did wrong was to choose to come into RUBY TUESDAY for a special date with...
Read moreI am so saddened by the downward turn of this particular Ruby Tuesdays in Pueblo Colorado located at 4150 N Freeway Rd. 81008 which has taken place since "Covid".
It is no longer an excuse to have substandard meals, due to staff shortage, food shortage...etc. It is bad enough that they raised the prices from $7.99 to $12.99 on the "all you can eat salad bar" but too serve rotten lettuce, cucumbers, bell peppers etc., is just complete negligence and lack of concern for customers health.
Myself and my workout buddies always go to the Rudy Tuesdays (in Pueblo, CO.) for the salad bar after our workouts at our gym nearby. This is 2 to 3 times a week for months. $70 ticket (not including tip) each time!!! I have had issues with the quality of the salad bar and items not being fresh or items not being refilled before, but last night was the last straw for me.
4 of us went there last night for the salad bar, waited 25 minutes to have the salad containers refilled and then the salad was rotten????? I mean I had to pick the BLACK lettuce (this being the leading cause of Botulism) out of my meal. Being that I didn't want to create more of a scene, considering I was already upset having to wait so long for spoiled greens... I wish I had, as 30 min after leaving the restaurant and in the middle of Walmart I barely made it to the ladies room, and continued through the night. I have spoken to one of the other people that dined with me to see if they experienced the same, and they did. Needless to say I will never eat their again!!!!!!
I would like to mention however that the service we received from our waitress "Star" was top notch and her tip reflected that. They are lucky to have her on their staff, but really need to look into whomever is responsible for the quality control of food being put out on the salad bar for consumption!!!!!!
Don't jeopardize your health or waste your money eating here! At least where the salad bar is concerned, I promise you...you will regret...
