I had high hopes for Hungry Howie's. Sadly, my expectations weren't met. I was hungry for pizza. I decided to try Hungry Howie's. I walked into the restaurant at 2:00 pm. I was the only one there. That should have been a tipoff that things would go downhill from there. I have to give three stars for atmosphere, since I was the only one there. I ordered their two-topping 10" pizza for $5--pepperoni and jalapeno. I was asked what kind of crust I wanted. They have about half a dozen kinds of crust. I chose Cajun. It seemed that it took quite some time for the pizza to be ready, considering that I was the only one there. The inside of the restaurant looked halfway decent. They have video games for kids in there. The outside of the restaurant looked kind of sad. I wasn't sure where to park once I got there. The parking spaces weren't obvious. The woman behind the counter who took my order was pleasant enough. She brought over my pizza, which looked fabulous. I took my first bite, expecting the taste to match how it looked. The initial taste seemed kind of "off". It's hard to describe. The only thing I can say is that it tasted "tinny." I was expecting a multitude of flavors after chewing it. But the flavors never came. The pizza looked much better than it tasted. That's why I'm giving three stars for the taste. I did eat the crust, and the crust was very good. All in all, I don't think I will be coming back to Hungry Howie's. *** Please "Like" this review. Thanks! ***

I’ve had nice pizza from here but today I was given this, burnt on top and undercooked inside as you can see in the photos (I had flipped one over to look at the doughy crust) and I was trying to enjoy it but it was also greasy and nasty so I ended up going back for a replacement because I was still nearby. The cashier was nice but the other girl from the back office said “it comes that way it’s just the bacon” but look at the howie Maui photo of what it’s supposed to look like on the website and I’ve had bacon on pizza from here before and the cheese was fine. She offered a plain cheese pizza and also said “it’s half gone” and “there’s 6 orders ahead of you” when other food services usually at least offer any replacement or refund, it wasn’t even about the money anyways I just wanted something to eat but I didn’t appreciate the attitude and left with this thing I didn’t want and threw away. I ate dominos instead and they made my Hawaiian pizza good.

So I normally get pizza at this location three times a month. Recently, they have been very inconsistent with the amount of time they cook their pizza for. The last time I got pizza from them my pizza was overcooked and when I called them all they said was I'm sorry but they never made it right. I just ordered pizza from them today and this is the pizza that I received. This time the pizza is slightly undercooked and I am having to preheat my oven to cook it the rest of the way. If you have any problems, they do a horrible job of making it right with a replacement or a refund. Management is confrontational. I will not be getting pizza from this location again

I ordered a carry out pizza and wings that was supposed to be ready by 6pm. My mother gets off work at 6pm so it worked out fine with wiggle room. When my mother arrived to pick up our order she was informed that the person who was behind her was given our order. The previous customer noticed the mixed up and brought the food back in. But of course the box was already opened and LEFT the building. They still tried to give my mother our food that GOD knows what could have happened to it. My mom asked that they remake the our order. So we ended up waiting 30 minutes. Mind you the customer that got order to begin with, was given the pizza and the wings were not remade. They offered us soda but my mother informed them that we do drink soda, and also I am pregnant so no caffeine for me. My mother then asked for breadsticks instead to compensate for the wait instead, which is only $2.99. This turned out to be a major ordeal because it was not what they would normally do. My mother ended up waiting another 15 minutes. No apology was given, for the mix up or wait. But they, as in the cashier, manager, and apparently the owner also honestly expected us as paying customers to take food that was opened outside the building in someone's car, with no problems. Next time my mother and I will be taking our business elsewhere. There are plenty of other pizza places that treat their customers with respect and care in Punta Gorda alone. Also the customer that received our order informed my mother that incidents like this...

A Fantastic Family Pizza Night

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to express my gratitude for the great pizza and kind staff.

First and foremost, let's talk about the pizza itself. Hungry Howie's brings their A-game when it comes to crafting mouthwatering pizzas. The crust was perfectly golden and crispy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The sauce had a delightful tanginess and was generously applied, while the toppings were fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. We opted for a variety of toppings, and each one was deliciously satisfying. From classic pepperoni to gourmet combinations, Hungry Howie's offers a wide range of options to suit every taste.

What truly sets Hungry Howie's apart is the exceptional service provided by their staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff members were incredibly attentive, ensuring that our needs were met and that we had a pleasant dining experience. They were more than happy to help us choose the perfect pizza combinations and provided excellent recommendations. Their dedication to customer satisfaction left a lasting impression on our family.

In summary, I highly recommend Hungry Howie's for a delightful family pizza night. The delicious pizza, combined with the attentive and friendly staff, truly make it a standout establishment. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner or a special family gathering, Hungry Howie's has got you covered. Don't miss out on this gem of a...
