Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Punta Gorda

I recently started buying my subs at the Punta Gorda location. Although it’s a bit pricey, I do enjoy the flavor and quality of their subs. Went for lunch today. After placing and paying for our order, it was suggested that we wait at the end of the counter while our hot sub was made in the back, but in plain view. My wife requested extra lettuce and simply reminded the guy in back of this. She did so very pleasantly and smiled at him. He held his hand up to stop her and said , “ I know, I got it”. He came across as being quite rude. As my wife walked away, he came out to talk to me and said to me, “ I don’t like what people watch me…they get very critical”! I responded by saying simply that we had said nothing at all critical. Turns out, HE IS THE BOSS! He was rude, had no people skills at all and ergo personality. My suggestion…if he doesn’t want to be watched, build a wall so he can’t be seen. My wife and I recently lost our son. She is having a very difficult time and certainly is extra sensitive. But a smile and a nod would have been much better received than a thin skinned action. My wife will certainly not return to this location. Shame too. Jersey Mike's stole the show on our lunch date! From the moment we walked in, the energy was infectious. Friendly staff greeted us with genuine smiles, and the aroma of freshly sliced meats had our stomachs rumbling.

The wait was practically nonexistent, despite a steady stream of customers. Watching the pros behind the counter expertly slice meats and pile on toppings was almost as entertaining as the delicious smells.

I savored every mouthful of my classic number 2, while my wife raved about her hot sub from the grill. The portions were generous, and the "Mike's Way" dressing added a tangy punch that tied everything together beautifully.

We finished our meal feeling satisfied and happy, not just because of the amazing food, but also because of the friendly and efficient service. The subs are great, actually the best but the employee response to an issue with the website and the website is about a zero. The website does not allow to place a pickup time and does not allow to pay for the order with the reward points. I called the store within 2 minutes after placing my order at 2:35pm and wanted to cancel the payment and told the employee I will pay when I pick up and the employee responded you can do that but you will not get all your money refunded for a "cancelled" order. I said I am cancelling the payment and will pay when I pick up at 5:30pm, the employee you can't do that, your order is in process.
