Utamaro sushi bar Punta Gorda — Restaurant in Punta Gorda

Had an absolutely incredible experience at Utamaro. I ordered the Baby Sumo Roll, the Gen Z roll and the Ultimate roll.

Came here for lunch at about 12pm on a Monday. The service was incredibly fast. The restaurant was super quiet and the food quality was amazing. This is high quality sushi!

The service was excellent. Incredibly kind and attentive staff that are really working to put a smile on your face. They were super accommodating to my slight alteration requests to the rolls (I have a severe avocado allergy as well as a couple others).

Music was a good volume and a great selection. Didn’t feel distracting or annoying like some music at restaurants can feel.

This is definitely some of the best sushi I’ve had in the Punta Gorda - better than some I’ve had in Venice. Probably some of the best I’ve tried in this whole southwest...

We tried Utamaro for the first time and were so happy we did! Upon arriving, we noticed the beautiful atmosphere of the dining room. Brian, the owner, and Winn, our server, were so welcoming. The sushi was exceptional and the freshest we have ever had. The sushi rolls on their menu are so creative that it was hard to decide. We chose a few different specialty rolls and sashimi. All were so fresh and wonderful. Some in our party ordered entrees and they were equally as delicious. Entrees weren't drowned with sauce and vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. We have been needing a new sushi spot and we sure did find it at the NEW Tamaro Sushi in PG!

We were the only ones there but it's only a matter of time until their place gets packed!! The quality is by far one of the BEST in town, and I've tried them all!

We started off with Ahi Tuna & Seared Albacore for our appetizer! The was cold, fresh and packed with flavor! The Seared Albacore melted in your mouth... absolutely perfect!

We had the Crunchy Tuna Roll & Firecracker Roll! Both fantastic! We can't wait to try everything on the menu over time.

This will definitely be our new sushi spot! You won't be disappointed! We'll...
