Spinnaker Bar and Patio Dining — Restaurant in Punta Gorda

Tried to come in and place an order after the nice lady at the front desk told us over the phone that it wouldn’t be too long of a wait. We then went to the bar and was met by Joseph the bartender who was going to take our order. I went on their website and saw a lobster roll and I asked about that as we were looking forward to eating it. He then looked at me like I was dumb as it wasn’t on the current menu and we showed him the photo and he was quite dismissive. We then asked how long the catch of the day would take and he said 15-20 min. When I asked if there’s anything quicker or that took less time to order he replied with a condescending attitude and basically said “look at the tables; and the front desk doesn’t know how the kitchen works.” After that we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere, will...

Food is amazing. Service depends on who you get. If you know good food, this place is a hidden gem in Punta Gorda. This hotel restaurant has something special you would not expect. The chef "Mike" is an absolutely amazing talent. I have probably been there 20-30 times, and the consistency of that quality is impressive. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. From the prime rib to even the baked potato! We have tried the occasional specials like duck, Lamb and Chilean sea bass. Wow! The sides are absolutely delicious. We had an incredible experience at Spinnaker Restaurant! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our server, Tara, was outstanding – friendly, attentive. The food was equally as amazing as the service. Steak and cheese quesadilla was packed with flavor, the haddock fish fry was perfectly crispy and fresh, and the tuna stack was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
