My family and I went to your restaurant to enjoy a meal together. Your place was busy being that it’s Easter weekend and the wait to be seated was within reason. Unfortunately once we were seated, the wait for our dinner after we ordered was approximately a 45 minute wait and our server kept checking on us to update us often. I did expect to get my order, a rack of ribs and onion rings to be hot but that wasn’t the case, the ribs were barely warm and my onion rings were somewhat cold and hard to chew. The only thing that was very hot was the cup of beans that came with the ribs. My question is, why was our food not fresh and hot after such a long wait to get our food? Our server kept telling us how many orders were ahead of us which made me think that our food was going to be fresh once he brought it to us. I was very disappointed and I asked my family if their food was fresh and hot, they told me that it wasn’t. The only thing that was ok was the appetizers. I had to take most of my meal home because I didn’t enjoy it eating cold. The money I paid wasn’t worth the quality of the food. One good thing was, that our server did a great job in staying in contact with us even though he was extremely busy with his other customers and for that I was grateful with him, specially how hard he was hustling to do his job and still found time to check our table. That’s what kept me from complaining at the restaurant, I gave him a well deserved tip for his effort. He has great customer service skills and I wish I had people like that gentleman working for me. I’m in the people business and have been since I was 18 and I can appreciate him for being a professional and caring person. Unfortunately this was my second time I ate at your restaurant and I am truly disappointed how our meals were prepared, I will not go back to your restaurant. I had a decent experience the first time we ate there and was really looking forward to it last night, but it...
Read moreVillage Brewhouse at Fisherman’s Village is a true slice of Florida tourism—come for the waterfront views, stay for the wildly inconsistent food experience that will have you questioning everything you know about portion sizes and seasoning.
Let’s start with the Pork Nachos. I was not prepared for the mutant-sized jalapeños that came on top—I swear they were three inches long and could have doubled as kayak paddles. These things weren’t just spicy; they tried to ruin my life. One bite and my taste buds saw the afterlife. I’m pretty sure if I had eaten two at once, I would have spontaneously combusted.
Then there were the Spicy Brussels Sprouts—except, plot twist: they weren’t spicy, they were dessert. Drenched in so much honey and sugar, it felt like they’d been marinating in a beehive for at least 48 hours. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to eat candied vegetables, here’s your chance.
Now, the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich? Oh boy. Calling it “dry” is an understatement—it was drier than a piece of driftwood that’s been baking in the Florida sun since 1972. I took one bite and immediately reached for three glasses of water just to regain control of my throat. If they’re trying to set a record for the driest sandwich on Earth, congratulations, you’ve won.
And let’s discuss the Charcuterie Board. The prosciutto? An inch thick. AN. INCH. THICK. I had to saw through it like a lumberjack just to take a bite. I’ve seen thinner slices of ham at an all-you-can-eat buffet. This wasn’t charcuterie—it was a deli counter’s worst nightmare.
Pro tip: Ask to sit inside. You don’t have to wait, and you won’t have to battle the sun, humidity, and rogue seagulls trying to steal your fries.
At the end of the day, it’s another slice of Florida tourism—come visit, take in the views, order carefully, and bring a gallon of water if you dare try that...
Read moreI’ve been there three times in the last six months and I wish I would’ve stopped after the first visit, that one was great. The second visit didn’t go well, service was slow and food was barely warm.I had to pry the rice off of my plate. I figured maybe they were having an off night and we would try again another day. Ha, wrong! Third visit- service was slower. We agreed to wait 45 minutes for a table, but it was odd that I saw a few empty tables, one of which was directly behind the hostess stand. 20 minutes later our table was ready and it was the one right behind their stand. I got to hear all kinds of things from their little group while sitting there, hopefully my 8 year old wasn’t paying attention. It took about 10 minutes to put in a drink order and we wanted an appetizer, but she didn’t give us a chance to order it. When she came back with the drinks 10 minutes later two were missing. After about 15 minutes we got the last two drinks and were able to order our dinner. 35 minutes later our food comes, except for one. We waited and waited, then the waitress comes over and asks what did you order? We got the rest of our food 15 minutes later without any apology or anything. I eventually got silverware, but my husband went up to the bar to get it because it was taking longer than expected to get some from our waitress, by that point my toast was soggy. When she did come with some she dropped some on the floor by the next table, looked at it and walked away. A customer ended up picking them up. I was so pleased after the first visit and the last two visits really just ruined it for me, I doubt...
