Overpriced and undeserving! I can honestly say I won't return. I've been a loyal customer several times a year for years, but have never felt appreciated. The fudge is hit or miss, when it is good it is great, when it's not, it just tastes old. Sample first (which seems to bother them) or save your money and yourself from awful customer service! Unfortunately customer service is something that is seriously lacking here. I went in for some fudge and gelato. The environment feels very unwelcoming, there are no pleasant hellos, smiles given, or any thank yous for your business. I purchased what I thought was a 1/4lb of fudge (what I asked for) and it was $8.19? That seems insane! I'm guessing she gave me a 1/2lb, which is also steep ($16lb is very high, but not unheard of). We also ordered the gelato, the roasted pistachio was very good, but the chocolate mocha tasted off, freezer burnt, with a weird textute. There was no way I was going to complain in what feels like a very stiff and unfriendly establishment. There was one young girl working who was nice enough, smiled, and was polite. I'm not sure what got into the rest of the staff, but this was the least busy it has been when I've visited, so no necessity to act rushed or seem rude to your guests. If you can't offer courteousness, you don't deserve my money. Note to the owner your staff needs some serious attitude adjustment and customer service training towards your paying clientele. This wasn't my first visit, but definitely will be my last. Very...
Read moreWhat a dilemma. My spouse loves one of their nearly $20/lb candies. I have been getting it for years, literally. It alone would be a 5 for quality and 3 for price, call it 4 stars. But the workers haven't figured out how to interact with customers in an open, friendly, and positive way. If they did, their business would double. Recently, out of the blue, some friends told us that they never go in there anymore because they don't feel welcomed. Exactly! We're not alone. Then today, I stop in to buy the $18 worth of candy I always get for my spouse, always packed into a plain white fudge box as usual. A more senior worker said that the fudge boxes are for fudge only but I can buy a decorative gift box instead. "REALLY? I've done this for years." Her response: " Well, I don't know who's doing that because we're not supposed to." If my spouse didn't love this candy I would have walked out, and told her so. She finally relents "just this once" to use a 5 cent fudge box. Keep it, I'll use the one I have at home. To the owner; you really need to figure out how to change the feeling in your store. Please. 12/20/2018 update. Stopped by for the quarterly purchase of the one candy she loves. You guessed it, they have all the candies they've always had, but have stopped carrying the single item I regularly purchased. They have it in dark chocolate, but no longer have the milk chocolate version. Wow. Changing my rating to a 1 star but wish I...
Read moreI was in the store today with a few friends. The older woman behind the counter was talking about my girlfriend who had just purchased candy to another customer. As she was finishing paying, my friend got an important call that she had been waiting for and had to take, but she finished paying and said thank you to the woman who didn't say anything back to her. The store clerk (the older woman) turned to another customer and began talking and pointing to my friend saying that my friend was rude, loud enough for all of us other customers to hear. First of all she didn't know how important the phone call was and more Importantly should never have talked to another customer about it. Let's talk about rude. How rude is she to do that? We spend a lot of money in that store as we live here all year. We...
