Laff Out Loud Inc — Local services in Punta Gorda

Was having a great time at Fishermans Villiage with family until we walked into laff out loud. I had a few items in hand for purchase and saw something that had caught my eye in a bottom shelf tote that was quite amusing. Not 3 seconds after I picked the item up, an employee came up to me and scolded me for looking at it and told me to put the item back because "those things are already out on the sales floor"... "geez, so sorry! It caught my eye.. was just seeing what it was" I replied. I didn't know the items in totes on the sales floor were not for sale! I put it back alright, along with all the other items I planned on buying. Then I got my family members from the other side of the store and we all walked out empty handed and went to the chocolate shop instead. Happy to have given my money to them over laff out loud... as a year round resident, I won't be returning or...

I believe they close at 8 and I was in the store earlier in the day and told myself I was going to go back and buy a gnome after dinner. I ran back after dinner to try and make it back before 8 and made it at literally 8:01. A girl was vacuuming and through the locked glass door I told her I wanted to buy a gnome and that I was not from around here and won’t be around tomorrow. She looked over to her supervisor and the supervisor shook their head “No”. I get its after they are “closed”, but that was an easy transaction they missed on. Who says no to a customer when the know they have a forsure sale and are asking at the door. That’s bad customer service if you ask me. It is what it is. I’ll get my gnome somewhere else. Very nice selection of gifts, terrible staff, rude, followed my kids around the store. Then as each kid was picking out an item priced $20.00 or more, the manage decided to not only speak down to the kids but ask about buying something. So $20.00 x 4 sale just got lost. I understand if they are being obnoxious and breaking things, but to be harassed because your a kid and picking out a toy? $100 + sale lost as we left the store. Please find somewhere else to...
