I want to give Fat Zachs 5 stars but it just isn't consistent. First, the pizza is great, the place is great and the prices make my experience the most 'forgiving' but you can tell when there isn't strong leadership behind the counter. Some nights we go and it's fast, perfect clean, amazing really. The other half of the time was like yesterday. We got 2 pizzas, the same, 2 Jetts and cheese bread. The amount of dough, cheese and sauce was so different between the 2 it looked like 2 different pizza places made us pizza. I held mine up to the light and you could see through it it was so thin. It looked like they were mad at me. Lol As I went back to the counter, I noticed how they were making the pizzas, no 2 looked the same. The oven, which i normally visit and they're sweeping it out, all the burnt bits after each pizza. The younger taller person with a straight bill cap on the oven was trying but missing bad. I noticed the burnt bits, smoking in there, plop fresh pizza right on some smoking coal.... after about 5 or 6 minutes waiting at the to go counter for someone to help and look at my pizza I gave up and went back to my seat grabbing a to go box for my sad pizza from the display area above the counter. Went to the table and investigated under our pizza, burnt bits.... That's what that taste was... Burnt to the oven toppings. I didn't try to get a refund, after standing at the counter to get a redo for that long I knew we'd miss our movie i f we waited, we ate most of it, it was just so disappointing from what I know they can do the other half of the time. Overall, fat zachs is worth it for the price, it's a good recipe and good food. Just take a look behind the counter and in the oven. If you see burnt bits and teens working, go somewhere else. If you see the nice blonde lady, or the beard man it will be good. I would recommend on that caviat. 1 actual adult...

Let me first start off by saying I initially had a bad experience. Won’t get into details but I reached out to the owners about what happened and they went above and beyond to make sure that my issues were taken care of and addressed with the staff. I’m all about supporting local businesses and when I tell you that their pizza is delicious, that would be an understatement. I see some people complain about either the cost (which should be a non-issue because a lot of other places are more expensive) or they complain that the pizza doesn’t have a ton of toppings (again, not my experience so not sure what they’re talking about). If you’re wanting to try Fat Zach’s out I would suggest ordering on a Monday (they have a 2 pizzas for $26 deal). If you’ve never had a wood fired pizza, it might be a little different than what you’re used to. The crust isn’t going to be greasy like most chain pizza places, it’s going to be thin and somewhat crispy on the edges. The toppings are the perfect amount for the crust. The pizza is tasty (I’ve had the Fatboy, the NBD, the Fat Zach’s, Poly Pig and First Responder) and they have all been delicious. Top notch business from the ownership and this will be a business I will continue to support...

I am a regular at Fat Zachs in Puyallup. Normally the food and service are outstanding! BUT my visit yesterday night wasn't pleasant 😕 The lady who took my order was absolutely amazing, her service alone is worth 5 stars🌟 I know we went 30 mins before closing but the guy who gave me my pizza was very rude. We were missing some sauces that we had asked for when ordering and when we let him know he argued with us about it! We didn't mind paying for extra ranch cups no problem but when we ordered them the lady who took the order didn't mention paying extra for 2 ranch cups! The worst part of this was my pizza. It was burnt to a crisp on the bottom, very hard, and unfortunately I found hair on my pizza! I was so disappointed I didn't eat my cheesy garlic bread or the other pizza because I was worried about finding another hair. I'm so sad about this because I loved this place but the service was awful my pizza was burnt and I found a hair. I won't be returning back to this place! I wouldn't recommend this place either. I forgot to take pics before throwing the pizzas away. I was so upset it slipped my mind to...

Do you like wood fired pizza? If you driven around this area, I bet you have seen this cute casual restaurant. Tables n seats: inside 3 long sharable tables, 1 round stand table n 2 tables for large parties. Outside: 3 parasole tables n 8 tables with lots of add on chairs. Dine in n outside seats are Available.(4/10'21). Still chil out dining but they have heaters. Gluten Free pizza: Available with additional charges. All on the same flat floor, so wheel chair n stroller friendly. I recommend to acces entrance from outside seat area, not the red door. Parking: structured 1 disabled n 9 spaces. Or lots of street parking. Toilet: Available. 2 restrooms n roomy for disabilities n stroller with toddlers. No diaper table. 4stars because the bread sticks were super dry... but all workers are super nice.

We hired Fat Zach's for our wedding on 7-15-23. Prior to that, we had visited the restaurant near the fairgrounds a handful of times. Every interaction has been a positive experience! At the restaurant they are always friendly and the food comes quickly. And the FOOD! The pizza is our favorite, as well as the breadsticks. My wife enjoys the pickle pizza and I enjoy the chicken bacon ranch. As for our wedding, the whole experience was great from our tasting to the planning to the actual day. Fat Zach's went above and beyond, arriving early, accommodating various dietary restrictions, having the food ready in time, and then boxing up all the leftovers. The employees were kind and friendly and helped answer any of our questions. We highly recommend Fat Zach's for pizza night or your big day!

The pizza was very good! We definitely live in an era where pizza has become pricey and while I complained to my girlfriend about the size for the price, she pointed out many other locations that are more expensive for the same size and lesser quality. The Buffalo chicken salad was a bit disappointing, having a very small amount of chicken. The breadsticks were very plain and a little too done for my liking. The boneless wings are so/so as well, being almost hard and the flavor being average at best. The pickle pizza is a very interesting idea and turns out to be very good, and the fat patty was delicious! This is a great spot to grab a good pizza, especially with the stadium across the street. I haven’t had a sandwich yet, but so far the rest of the menu just didn’t do it for us.
