In a sea of positive reviews, why am I the only person (not on Yelp, since there are a lot more negative reviews on Yelp for this place) who had a bad experience? Based on Google reviews I went to this place during the slow period (around 2.3 pm) because I didn't want to wait for a table. Every table except the one near the toilets and the occupied one was dirty and covered with dishes, which makes sense if there's only one server. They didn't bother to seat me, just told me to find somewhere to sit. Sooner or later, the very nice, very pleasant server came to ask me if I wanted anything to drink and sooner or later brought my family drinks. We ordered and waited, and waited. Little kids from the occupied table ran back and forth screaming and screaming, slamming the doors in the bathroom and shrieking and running back to their parents around the corner. After fifteen minutes I had enough and told them to stop. Ten minutes later they were back and my food still hadn't arrived. Then my kids fried rice arrived. By itself. Five minutes later our appetizer arrived, by itself. Then another five minutes later our ramen. The broth tasted old and burned and was better with some soy sauce. The noodles were excellent, but I doubt they make them in house since I asked if I could have the takoyaki without octopus for my ovo-lacto kid and was informed they came frozen. Then we were left alone for half an hour. I got my own extra napkins from the cart next to the restroom door. It was sad and disappointing and I kept wondering why all the positive reviews. Maybe you have to come early, before they're tired? Or they need to scrape the pot for leftovers (or add water to stuff that congealed?) I dunno. But whatever happened food and service-wise, I was really upset I subjected my kids to this place and paid upwards of forty five dollars for...

This restaurant needs to be cleaned. The waitress had dirt under her fingernails and looked like she needed a shower and a change of clothes. She also had an audible cold, yet she was serving food. The bathroom was dirty. The paper menus were dirty and stained with old food. There were boxes of tea on the floor under the sink, as well as other food items. The ceiling had stains on it. If the cleanliness of the front of the restaurant is any indication of what is happening in the kitchen, it might not be safe to eat at this place.

This place was busy, and I don’t know why. The food did not taste good. It lacked flavor. It lacked finesse and color. Anyone who knows anything about Japanese food, knows that the food at this place is not a quality product. Top Ramen has a better product. There was a scant amount of meat and vegetables, resting on the noodles. The chicken appeared to be boiled in the soup stock, rather than cooked prior to adding to the top of the noodles. The dish the pork buns was served in was dented.

There is no way that the management/owner/cooks could be proud of the food, the service, or the cleanliness of this restaurant. They are laughing all the way to the bank, at people who are willing to pay $10 for ten cents worth of noodles. I will...

We went today for lunch. It having been our first time in a ramen noodle house, we had many questions. The ladies there were delightfully informative and kind/ She took time with us explaining things we may like to try which we really appreciated! It was my grown daughter, myself and my 2 year old son there and she was very generous with all :) We had the Tonkatsu Ramen, which was warm and flavorful. filled with things I had never tried before, and am now so glad I did DELICIOUS! Then we had dumplings, potstickers, and an amazing fried rice dish that the chef made especially for my toddler. It was all so amazing! but the best part of all was the milk tea. I promise you will not regret this drink. It is unlike anything I had seen before and we all loved it! And when my toddler started getting a bit restless, one of the ladies went and brought him a candy treat to calm him down, so nice and unexpected. I cannot say enough how good the food, atmosphere, service and prices were at my lil' cube. We drove 30 minutes to get there and it was worth every mile. We WILL be back again as often as we can. Thanks for an enlightening and lovely...

My Lil Cube in Puyallup WA has been on my list to try for the longest time as everyone kept telling me they have the best ramen in Pierce County. We finally got to try it and I must agree that their ramen is one of the best we’ve tried this side of town😋 I got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen which had a rich and flavorful broth, tender chashu, and nice chewy noodles!🤤 Definitely my new go to for ramen in the area 💯 What’s your favorite ramen spot? 📍402 N Meridian, Puyallup, WA 98371 LET’S EAT!🩷

I'm so happy My Lil Cube is open again! These small businesses have been struggling immensely this past year and I was worried that this place would close down for good due to COVID. I'm extremely thankful and happy they didn't! I think they've been closed for nearly a year, so it's so nice to finally eat at my favorite ramen restaurant again! Wishing this restaurant all the success during these times as it is still THE best place that serves great ramen here in Pierce County or in Washington even. I've been here countless times and their popular Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen is still just as amazing as it was when I first tried it and got hooked on it in 2018! And their fried shrimp tempura is always made fresh -- I absolutely love it and always order it with my ramen. I was told once that their chili oil is made by the owner and it is so spicy and so good! The servers will sometimes warn you that it's very spicy -- they're not exaggerating, this is some potent stuff! Just 1-3 drops of this stuff, and I'm good! If you like spicy food, you must try their famous chili oil. I can't express how happy I am to see this business thrive again!

Great restaurant in Puyallup for Japanese noodle cravings :) The service is super friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant is usually busy, so make sure you come a bit early or during the week when there aren't as many people so you won't have to join the waitlist. I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon which came extremely hot (which was nice) with everything described -- I appreciated that they put the shrimp tempura on the side so it wouldn't get soggy in the broth. It also had chicken in it, but only 1-2 small slices of chicken breast which felt a bit out of place because it had a really dry texture. I think it would have been better if it were dark meat. Overall it was something small I didn't love as much, but I still really enjoyed the rest of the dish. The black garlic tonkotsu ramen has a very flavorful broth and definitely tasted better than a lot of the chains in the area (like Kizuki). The cuts of meat and amount of meat they give to you is much better than a place like Santouka. Also a tip: the chili oil is delicious but the spiciness builds up quick!! Definitely add a little at a time :)
