I have had it with the grooming salon. I have been a customer for 2 years...and from time-to-time I have to ask for corrections on my dog's cut. Once corrections are made, all is well and I pay the full price. Three weeks ago I sent my dog to be groomed but Lacey was not able to finish his cut due to a personal issue...and I understood; therefore, we could not ask for corrections that day. I called the manager and let her know that my husband made me aware of why my dog was not fully groomed and had the appearance that he was still grown out. She was immediately defensive as if I called to argue. I was simply trying to determine how we were going to correct the issue. The manager, Jessica, stated that because Lacey was going to be out for an upcoming vacation there were limited days that she would be available where I could bring my dog back for correction which would have been an inconvenience anyway.
Since my schedule did not sync with Lacey's I just scheduled my dog for an earlier appointment...3 weeks instead of the usual 6 weeks. Keep in mind, the manager could have discounted the service since the schedules did not sync...to take responsibility for the poor service. She didn't. Upon taking my dog back at this 3 week mark, I asked for a discount for the previous service and was initially denied twice as Jessica became combative, stating that my dog was already grown out, before agreeing to give me a discount...20%...should have been 50% since the dog barely had a haircut 3 weeks ago.
I will say that Lacey did a great job with this most recent service but I won't be back and have canceled my dog's 6 remaining appointments. Hope the loss of business...
Read moreHorrible all the way around!!! I had been going to petsmart for over 2 years (at the queen creek location in Arizona) I was always happy with my service and tipped well. Then on one visit (a scheduled full groom) I had not gotten a call to pick up my dogs After 4 hours had gone by. I went to pick them up, assuming they were done and someone forgot to call me. However, when I got there I was told they were not done and had not even been started yet!!!! Keep in mind they have a policy of max time of 3 hours for completion. I was pretty upset as they will not take the dogs out to go potty and one of my little Yorkies has a bladder issue, which they were well aware. At this point i was told that they had too many "walk in" services and we not able to get to my (Scheduled) dogs. As you can Imagine, I was quite upset and demanded my dogs be released to me immediately . My dogs were finally givin to me but, they wanted to charge me for time spent.( not even sure what that was) I of course refused to pay anything and left the store. I have not used them for over another 2 years after this incident. I have now moved to Montana and needed a "touch up groom" I gave them all my information and was told that I was not "book able". I explained to the manager/supervisor as to what had happened in Arizona and it wasn't at all my fault but, they blacklisted me and will never groom my pets again !!! This is terrible business practice and a good example of big companies not caring about their customers. My advice find a good local groomer who values their clients and they animals they groom. I will NEVER go back to Petsmart again...
Read moreThe ONLY reason I gave 4 stars is because Maddison is a wonderful groomer and does the most ahhhhh-mazing job with my little Yorkiepoo, "G". G's grooming experience is positive and she enjoys going in. She is a tad timid at times, but that's because she recognizes her size.
The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we went with another groomer, Michelle F, because Maddison wasn't available and G had to get in asap. Upon my husband picking G up, he realized that the groomers were changed and ALVIN was the groomer. G looked awful!!!!! It literally looked liked an amateur took a pair of scissors to her. Her ears were chopped so short, they won't lay flat when down. (Imagine a flying nun) Her neck looks like ALVIN is learning to use the clippers. There are gouges in several places. It literally looks like he used a shorter blade for her neck. G's face is not cut right. ALVIN didn't trim the hair around her eyes, where it can get matted from sleep/tears. ALVIN didn't trim her hygiene areas well. And ALVIN definitely did not express her anal glands (that's included in the costs of the full bath & cut). G has been rubbing her a$$ all over the living room carpet!!!!!! She does not do this and she submits in shame every time she does it. The hair on her legs are long and choppy and her paw pads weren't trimmed. The back paws had their nails cut, but ALVIN didn't clip the front paws. I suspect that's because there is so much hair (still) that he couldn't see. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I have pics and I'll try to upload. The first picture will be when Maddison groomed G. The other pics are of Alvin's...
