I came in this evening for a family dinner. The store was pretty busy as they had lot of online orders. We were patient until it was our turn to order. The young man making our food seemed like he did not know exactly what he was doing. When I asked for a mega dough crust he had to get someone to make it for him as there wasn't one premade. The employee came over stomping, sighing, and rolling her eyes. After she made it we proceeded to order. After the first pizza was created, while I was creating my pizza, the same employee who had a fit about making a mega dough literally threw the small steel metal piece with the numbers on it that they use for the pizzas across the kitchen right past my face and it clanged on the counter next to me. The man making my pizza and I just stated as each other in awkward silence.
Once the pizza was ready, my cheese only mega dough had barely any cheese. Half of it was literally crust and red sauce. I asked to speak to a manager and the female working the oven told me she was the manager. I explained my issue with the pizza and she shot me down saying all the cheese pizzas look like that. She was rude and condescending and gave me dirty looks. I explained to her they do not. I have been going to MOD for many years at many locations, including this one, and they have never looked like that. I then let her know how absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable the employee behavior was. The manager then seriously turned her back to me and mockingly stated I' m sorry you had a bad experience. She then turned around and told me I could complain to her supervisor, but followed-up saying her supervisor is never in the store ever so it would be difficult to complain.
I have never felt this disrespected and uncared for in a place of business that services others. I was mocked, not taken seriously, turned back on in the middle of conversation, and nothing was made right. This experience makes me want to stop eating at MOD all together. After I sat down to eat another customer came up to me and said he overheard my conversation and said he felt the employees there are always angry and upset and the food has gone downhill. I hope someone can make this right. This was completely unacceptable behavior! I am willing to provide the date, time, order number, description of employees (they do not want name tags),...
Read moreWe've been here a few times, and never had a bad experience. In fact, the employees are typically affable and easy to talk to. They listen well, and get the orders right every time. This particular time they forgot to add my pesto sauce onto the top of my pizza, but mistakes happen so it was no big deal. I love being able to create my own pizza, but my favorite from their menu is the Dillon James. I also very much enjoy tasting their various flavored no-name cakes. The chocolate one is okay, and the one that is most often available, but the seasonal ones keep me coming back to satisfy my sweet tooth! The pumpkin spice one they have right now is amazing, as is the strawberry lemonade one. Yes, the frosting is a bit waxy, but I still love them maybe because they are a throwback to my childhood when we would eat the other cakes that shall not be named. :) Definitely recommend Mod for a nice, quick (ish) meal. There's plenty of seating inside and out, though I agree with other reviewers that sitting outside at night can be a problem because cars park and leave their headlights shining right on you while you are eating. It's kinda uncomfy but not a huge deterrent. One thing I love about Mod is that they are a second chance employer.
Update: Gotta say, it's hit or miss at this location. The most recent time, we stood in line FOREVER watching the staff make food for online orders. They filled at least 4 online orders before even acknowledging us, and by that time, the line was wrapped all the way around to the door. Reduced my rating due to inexcusably...
Read moreTerrible, terrible, terrible! I placed an order through the app at 10:30am. Showed up to get my order at 10:55am. Was told there was no order in the system. Spoke to Matt (the manager, R-U-D-E!) who said there was nothing he could do about it. We even showed him our confirmation screen/number and proof of the order. He said "too bad, it's not in my system, theres nothing I can do."
He was SO rude and SO short with me. Clearly uninterested in helping. No customer services skills whatsoever. He had multiple opportunities to TRY and make things right, but didn't.
I asked who he would normally contact for help or any issues in the store, and he said "accounting. But they're closed today." (Accounting?!) So I asked him to please contact his boss so we could figure it out. He said "no". I asked how else we could solve this problem... I mean, I paid for an order. I had proof of payment. They took my money. But yet I was being refused the food which I paid for. He just kept saying "call the number in the app." Which I did. But it just goes to the store. (Side note, there isn't a customer service number in the app OR website. Just a "contact us" form to fill out on the website.)
Then, after 11, minutes after I had already left, he called me and said "ok I just got your oder. You still want me to make it?" Omfg!!!! No apology or anything. No acknowledgement of the way he spoke to me.
Worst "manager" ever!!!!!! And if the manager is that bad, I can't imagine the rest of the team is any better. Such a shame, too, cause it used to be one of our...
