Horrible experience! We came in and waited a short time to be seated. I immediately needed to use the restroom (no paper towels or drying apparatus.) While I was in the restroom, the waiter/waitress brought menus and my husband ordered me tea. I wanted water, but was like whatever. I look at the menu once I returned and they don’t have small options on there, or a child’s menu. I just had stomach surgery and can only eat 1/2 cup to a cup of food at a time. So , I went to ask for a kid’s menu due to this purpose. The waitress looked at me like I had three heads since she was busy shoveling a huge plate of food into her own face (they had only been open 2 hours at this point, but girl MUST have been starving.) At the time she handed the children’s menu to me I asked how much it would be, since there was no price on the thing. She said 5.99. Okay! AFTER we ordered, she decided to tell me there is an up-charge since I’m not a kid. While I understand that “rule” in general, I had never been actually charged an up-charge or refused to be allowed to order from it. IT’S THE SAME AMOUNT OF FOOD NO MATTER THE AGE, YOU IDIOTS!! We eat out probably 4-5 times a week at different places, and this has NEVER happened elsewhere. Usually, the venue is extremely kind and even offer tips to get a variety of options, as in ala-carte goodies just added to my husband’s at an even lower cost, which we may have stayed and done, had the service had been proper. Why would I order an entire plate of food just to take 3 bites and throw the rest away? So, I said I just won’t be ordering, and thought to myself I’ll just share my husband’s, since he generally don’t eat all of his anyway. He was livid and said to cancel our entire order. We went to pay for the two sips of tea before we left and they charged almost $8 for the tea! She said it was because it,s Pepsi products. Hu?!!! When my husband reluctantly paid, this starving waitress threw his change into his hand, as if he was the problem. Oh, and I later found out that all those nifty sauces they offer, as if they are included, to dip your chicken in, costs a small fortune, as well. Easy to spend $80 on a meal for two...
Read moreMy family and I took my husband here for lunch on Father's Day. We got here at 1:20. We were seated by 1:30. Our waitress came over immediately, and took our drink and appetizer order. So far so good. 👍 By 1:40 we placed our order. We waited and waited, and waited. It was 3:15 when our order finally came up. We could see the window from our seat and it only sat there for about 30 seconds before our waitress brought it to our table. I was not upset by the wait although it was a little extreme for pre-made 🧊 cold food. I ordered the baked potato lip. It did not come out as pictured... not even close!! There was 1tsp bacon bits and 1 tsp shredded cheese on it, no butter, no green onions. The cheese on top was not melted because the potato was not hot!! The lip was not hot, it was not even warm. It was cold!! We waited 1 hour and 35 minutes for cold food!! I did not eat mine. Not even one bite. When I mentioned to the waitress that our food was not as ordered, she got very snippy. She grabbed the menu and told me it was exactly what I ordered and they were out of green onions so they were just omitted without telling me. I wanted the green onions on my potato. I kinda wanted it warm as well. A dry cold potato 🥔 with very little bacon and shredded unmelted cheese in not what I ordered. My son ordered lip dip and it was cold as well. The cook needs to check the temperature of the food he's serving before he makes someone terribly ill. The first time we ate here, the food was really good. The second was ok, this time not good at all!! I will not be going...
Read moreMy daughter and I was on a scheduled visit and wanted to go to a nice place to eat , was going to go to o sheas but they are closed so we went to chick’s on the river because we are on a time crunch well we ordered our food, and no sooner than we got it a different waitress came up and asked if we paid yet and if not we need to pay to make sure the waitress got her tip because they have cut her so we rushed to eat , then she brings us our bills, and then we’re waiting on our change she comes up and says we’re waiting on our manager to open the drawer to get our change. So we got rushed to eat and to pay for what reason exactly?! And then our food is boxed up and we’re waiting to get our change my nine year old daughter said to me mom your not tipping them took my money off the table and said they don’t deserve it the service was poor. And I thanked her for acknowledging it and making me realize yes you should tip always but not when service is poor and especially when you was rushed and they was very rude. I’m so glad I am raising a great human. Who knows the difference between right and wrong doing to others in the...
