Hull and Mason is a blessed place. Walking in I was a little put off by how sprawling the space is, but our host Justin was so sincerely friendly as he showed us to our table that my heart was warmed. Then Ty arrived and was also sincerely friendly in taking our drink orders. My old-fashioned was world class, and as I was enjoying the first sip a new person appeared at our table, manager Leroy who asked how my drink was. Leroy was just as sincerely friendly as Justin and Ty, and by now you get the drift of this review. The food was excellent, and I caught the vibe that comes from being in a very well run place. I had just come from a cousins reunion that was long overdue, and I was delighted to find the same family feeling at Hull and Mason. When I told that to Ty as we were leaving he grinned even more broadly as he extended his arms and said ‘Bring it in man” and as we hugged I thought how odd life can be that you can be in a place you’ve never been before and feel so at home. I’ve reviewed a bunch of restaurants but never used the word “transformative,” and that’s what deserves to be said about the way the staff at Hull and Mason create a dining...
Read moreWas charged $60 for two omlets...outlandish!! My wife and I visited the Hull & Mason for breakfast this morning, we were asked if we would like buffet or menu, so we chose buffet to save on the cost. We ordered two omlets and I had two strips of bacon. No coffee, no juice. I tipped the lady who made my omlet. No one disclosed pricing or stated the cost. When I got the bill I almost spit my water out. I approached management about the cost and explained how we only had the two omlets and she shrugged it off as “hotel” pricing. I discussed that the menu is actually cheaper and she essentially blamed me for the problem and took no responsibility on the fact no one every mentioned or disclosed pricing. Food was fine but management is terrible. Unfortunately I wanted to give them the chance to make this right and just reduce my bill to menu pricing, but they have forced me to write a 1 star review. I sorry I cannot recommend this restaurant based on...
Read moreI have almost 500 nights in Marriotts and this has been my favorite so far. The staff would top the list of what I loved about the location. Upon going down to get dinner I was greeted by a friendly host. I believe his name was Steve, but could be mistaken. I sat at the bar and was served by Geo. He was great and was very knowledgeable about the drink menu. The old fashioned was made perfectly and the steak and fries were cooked with great skill. I then met Susan. She was an amazing lady who had an actual following of people there. She knew people’s personal lives and they knew about hers. It was great seeing the care Susan had for her customers.
If you are looking for a place to eat this is a fantastic restaurant and highly...
