Oh, you won't believe the hilarious encounter we had at this so-called "purple rice and durian paradise"! We strolled in, all excited to get our hands on some "exquisite" purple rice with durian for "dessert" (or should I say, disaster?) and a drink. But oh no, their top-notch technology was turned off, like, seriously? So we had to ask if they were closed, and guess what? They pointed us to the counter! How innovative!

And then the real comedy show began. We dared to inquire about their drinks (because, you know, we needed something to wash down that "culinary delight"), and they just gave us this sassy "yea, sure, we accept drinks order" response. Bravo, what a customer service pro!

So we reluctantly settled for the purple rice "appetizer" (if we can even call it that). But hold on, the guy there, Mr. Attitude Extraordinaire, decided to school us in food knowledge, as if we were clueless toddlers. He had to inform us that purple rice is NOT a drink. Well, thank you, Captain Obvious! We're just here for a good laugh.

But wait, it gets better! We wanted to see their drink menu, and the staff decided to put on a show for us. They acted all smug, like they thought we didn't know where the menu was. Hilarious! Little did they know, their screen was still off! Surprise, surprise! It took our intervention to open their eyes to that little fact.

Oh, but the entertainment didn't end there. When we finally got home (with our questionable order), we discovered the punchline: expired durian in the purple rice! Bravo, master chefs! Who knew durians were supposed to be sour and not sweet? A revelation, indeed!

What an unforgettable experience! If you ever need a good laugh or a lesson in customer service, that place is the perfect destination! Pure mockery...

The thing that caught my attention was the fact they have their boba made in house (see photo for reference)!

I tried their brown sugar milk tea with less ice and half sugar and let me just say... Unless you have a sweet tooth go for quarter sugar. The flavor was great as the brown sugar really stood out but man... Even for me I thought the sweetness level was off the chart at half.... Can't even imagine what the full sugar amount would be like (probably tastes like diabetes).

Wife got the original milk tea with a quarter level of sugar and half ice. The flavor was pretty good but it did taste a bit watered down. Could be from the ice (I always recommend getting as little ice as possible to not dilute the tea).

Boba however was fantastic with a nice sweet chewy texture. Very pleasant. We got the white boba though the have A LOT of different toppings you can add.

Overall it's a pretty good bubble tea place. Just be mindful of...

Very solid stuff! We came here on Halloween and they were offering a 50% off coupon for anyone who came in costume! Sadly, we were not dressed up, but we were happy to pay full price for the delicious tea and boba we got! I got the bamboo charcoal latte which was quite pretty. The tea itself was very interesting--in a good way--with a woody, smoky taste, perfect sweetness (I got 25% sugar), and a nice earthiness. For the black sesame boba, I give it 4/5 on taste (great sesame taste) although 2/5 on texture (a little limpish, not quite as "ku" as the boba at Kung Fu or Gong Cha).

My wife got the strawberry milk tea with black sugar boba. The strawberry milk tea was ridiculously strawberry-y...in a good way! The boba was similarly forgettable as the black sesame boba above.

Definitely would come back--they have interesting sagos, so I'd like to...

I was so disappointed about this place, the place does clean and organize, but the prices are too expensive, I can’t go there so often the Mochinuts were $3.50 per one and the have special discount for 3 for $9 which is $3 per one but it’s still expensive. The cheapest hot dog is $5 I personally believe it’s too expensive. I got my bubble tea for $5 which is a medium I think it’s worth but they asked me what kind of topping I want then I choices pudding and amazingly they charge me extra 70 cents for the topping, come on every place should come with the bubble tea. It’s a bad experience for me, but the quality of the Mochinut and the hot dog are good!

Love the unique though expensive boba. You just need to call to find out what's on the menu for today. I ordered for the first time today and was disappointed to find my 'large' turned out to be a regular size. I wouldn't order there again but will go back sparingly when I want their expensive unique boba. I'll try ordering later and hopefully they figure out how to tell the difference between sizes. I am personally a fan of the black sesame boba on the Hong Kong style milk tea. It's hard to find a place with good Hong Kong style milk tea. I like the overall concept just need to do the basic restaurant things better.
