I've been coming here for a long time, probably 8 years or more. I recently introduced my wife who can't get enough. (She's pescatarian and hard to find a good non-meat broth pho)
In a nutshell we love Pho Linh.
The food has always been on point - fresh, authentic, and great portion/cost.
With every visit the food and decor gets better and better like a fine wine.
I went to college in the Boston area and now I make sure to go out of my way when I visit anywhere near the area to get my fix. I don't normally write reviews but I've been meaning to write one for Pho Linh for quite some time.
The staff is polite, the food is consistently great, and I've even met the owner who is amazingly kind.
These pictures are from our last visit. Only thing we regret is not stocking up with food for our return trip home. But we were stuffed already.
You can't go wrong with the Pho and the grilled pork chop. I can't wait to go back and officially try Lê Madeline, an experiment inside Pho Linh self described as "a fun modern Vietnamese dining experience featuring an imaginative menu by Chef Peter Nguyen."
On our last visit we were lucky enough to sample one of Chef Peter's creations as he happened to be on site secretly testing menu options. Wow, talk...
Read moreThere are like a bajillion and one asian restaurants on Hancock Street, but this has to be my go-to. It is so delicious and extremely reasonably priced. I love the bright, glittering interior and the convenient location.
When I go, I usually get the Grilled Chicken Vermicelli (yes, I'm 100% guilty of going to a pho restaurant and not getting the pho). Anyways, the vermicelli noodles are amazing - soft, warm and "slurpy." The softness of the noodles combined with the crunchiness of the bean sprouts, carrots, lettuce and peanut sauce make this a sweet-crunchy combo that is always an A+. They also give you enough for two people to share, so for only $10, it's such a cheap dinner!
We got it with a side of spring rolls, but the spring rolls never came (the waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed), so this is why it got the 4 starts, but if you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Quincy, this is the...
Read moreI truly wish I could give higher ratings because I want to support local businesses AND I want to support my fellow Vietnamese Americans. But I also know that honest reviews are important because my fellow foodies depend on these reviews to make right decisions. I ordered Bun Rieu (crab noodle soup). First, the broth was bland. It visually had the right color and there were crabmeat rolled into balls and cubes of fried tofu BUT the flavor was not of rich crabmeat flavor. It’s as if they just boiled water, dropped the crab meat balls, tomato slices and tofu. We ordered for delivery via Uber Eats. Not sure who is responsible for us not getting the 3 orders of iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk! It must be Pho Linh! So between food being tasteless and not receiving the entire order we paid for, the experience was horrible. Should have gone with our first gut feeling to try Pho...
