I gave another try today(12/22/24) Since it wasn't as busy as the grand opening month, employees didn't look as stressed and they were all very nice. I ordered Jjampong and pork tangsuyuk. There was no improvement on Jjampong. I highly doubt it that was actually Mr. Paik's recipe. Mr Paik always encourage chefs to try their own food, but the chefs at this location does not do that. All ingredients in the Jjampong are very tasty. However, the soup has no flavor. It's way too salty and I can't taste any flavor from the soup. I think it'd be easy fix, but they haven't figured it out yet. Tangsuyuk had better flavor than before, but not crispy at all and oil wasn't fully drained. I hope they figure out how to put a little less salt on their soup and drain oil well from tangsuyuk before they serve. ############# I ordered at 1pm and didn't get my order until 2pm. After I saw people had lower number with similar order, I made a complaint, then they finally decided to give me my food. I wanted to try as many food as possible, so I ordered Shrimp fried rice which comes with Jjajang sauce, Jjampong soup on the side and Tangsuyuk. Jjajang sauce β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜† Decent flavor. Good amount of ingredients. Fried rice β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† Wasn't bad. Jampong soup β˜…β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜† Great visual, but disappointing. Salty. Seriously salty. Not much flavor. Tangsuyuk β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜† Very crispy. Looks great. Wasn't great flavor. However, the sauce was pretty good. If Mr. Paik saw how they're running business, he'd definitely shake his head. They were not operating as the way Mr. Paik is...

Service: The staff was friendly, but despite placing my order at 11:20 AM on a Sunday, I didn’t receive my food until after 12 PM. Since the restaurant had recently opened, I understand that they might still be working out the kinks in their system. However, there seemed to be confusion between handling takeout orders and dine-in customers, leading to significant delays in getting food to patrons.

Food: I ordered the Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong, but the taste was disappointing compared to other Korean Chinese restaurants in Boston. To be honest, I couldn’t find anything that stood out, especially when you can get similar quality refrigerated Jajangmyeon from the neighboring H Mart. The noodles were overcooked and lacked any noticeable wok flavor, leaving the dish feeling too plain.

Overall: Given that this is a franchise under the name of a famous chef, I had high expectations, but it fell far short. The food did not reflect the rising quality of Korean cuisine in the U.S. I might give it one more try in a few months to see if anything improves, but if not, I won’t...

Paik's Noodle is a quick service Korean-Chinese restaurant located in Quincy's HMart Food Court. It originates from Korea, made by famous chef Paik Jong Won (Well known in America for his appearance on Netflix's Culinary Class Wars)

When HMart Food Court first opened, this place had the longest line, now that the lines have died down, we have tried it many times and have not been disappointed. The staff works quick and most of the dishes come out within 5-10 minutes, though sometimes they get dishes wrong but are quick to replace them.

We've tried the Jjamppong, Jajangmyeon, and the Tangsuyuk. The Jjamppong is pretty standard, though what is unique is the noodles which were a bit thicker but taste pretty good. The Jajangmyeon is a more savory version rather than sweet, which is to my liking a lot more. The Tangsuyuk is also pretty standard, but very good. The prices are pretty good compared to the portion size, and is very filling.

I'd definitely check it out if you are in the area or grabbing a bite to...

This place had the longest line when I first walked into the food court, but I was able to order right away when I circled back, so the line moves fast (and it’s a food court, so you don’t necessarily have to wait there the entire time anyway). I ordered the Jajangmyeon ($10.95 + additional 20% discount with the grand opening promotion lasting until 2024/10/13). The portion size was huge! The sauce was very savory and tasty. I’m knocking off a star because I only found four pieces of ground pork, so I wish there were more protein, but still a filling, bang-for-your-buck meal regardless.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken for dinner and the sauce was in chunks. Never seen a kitchen was okay serving anything like this. Also, the cashier never mentioned that the entree doesn't come with any noodles or rice. She could have easily asked the customer to help generate revenue for the business and also provide a better experience for the customer. Also what's the point of this side dish? The container probably cost more than the actual food
