Updated Review - 1/30/25: Another Thursday night date night at Salute. We love this place. Delicious food, incredible service, and a great atmosphere. Tonight we had the Assorted Italian Meats and Cheeses for an appetizer, a Cheese and Sausage pizza, and Cheese Lasagna. My Lasagna came with a salad. We were also served warm bread. Everything was delicious! We had leftovers to take home for lunch tomorrow. We highly recommend eating at Salute!

Updated Review - 10/5/23: It was Thursday night and decided it was a great day for a date night. Let’s go to Salute… our favorite restaurant…. Get our favorite table up in the corner by the window…. Order some delicious food…. And have a great time. And we did! The service was great. The food was delicious…. And it was the perfect date night! We placed the order on the phone and picked it up. We ordered two medium pizzas…. Pepperoni and Sausage…. and the Marano Pizza. Mmmm!!! And we also ordered three House Salads with the Italian Cover…. Delicious! To finish it off, we ordered Tiramisu…. Incredible! The food was delicious! The service was incredible…. fast, helpful, and friendly! I had my favorite dinner choice…. the meat lasagna! My wife had the Chicken Rigatoni. Our friends had the special pasta of the night and a sausage pizza. Everything was perfect…. including the salads and soup. We love Salute! I was disappointed and frankly very underwhelmed by Salute. I heard great things about this place from my neighbor and saw that it has a lot of great reviews as well.

To start off, the food was subpar. I could’ve made better food in my own kitchen. The bread was extremely chewy and the red sauce used in the pasta is extremely bland and just tasted like tomato. No taste of seasoning at all.

Additionally, if you want any kind of cocktail with your dinner, save you and your server some time, and just get a water. Our server told me they could make anything we wanted at the bar as they have a “fully stocked” bar. I ordered a lemodrop martini and I was informed they weren’t able to make it due to the lemonade dispenser being broken or something like that. Okay, fine. So I try ordering a peach Bellini instead. A classic Italian drink you’d think would be available at an Italian restaurant. But alas, they were unable to make that too. Reason unknown. So I order a Dirty Shirley instead, which arrived at our table approximately 5-10mins later. This was, by far, the WORST dirty Shirley I’ve ever had. It’s not that hard to put some grenadine in some Sprite with some regular ole vodka. However, they must have put in CHERRY flavored vodka and it completely ruined the drink.

The atmosphere was not that great. There was a large table of people (somewhere between 15 and 20) and they were incredibly obnoxious. We were tucked far away into the corner facing the road and all of the noise echoed in that small, very cramped space.

Overall, I’m glad I tried it. However, as someone who is madly in love with Italian food and grew up with traditional and authentic Italian cooking, I was extremely disappointed that this highly reviewed restaurant ended up being the one place I wanted to go for my birthday dinner this year.

Honestly very surprised, This place is always been amazing. To be fair I ordered my food through a delivery service 9/17/25 and I was very excited to have this offering. Our food arrived quickly And we ordered two entrees which included one side a piece We chose the same side of salads. Upon taking everything out of the bag there was only one salad. Kind of head scratching has it seemed to be a smaller easy order. We kind of brushed it off considering we got a small loaf of bread with our order too. That was also short-lived because the bread was absolutely stale I might even question if it was from yesterday. Seriously :-(. I really don't want to sound like I am trying to down this place because I'm telling you I have had some excellent dishes from here before, but I want to be honest with this experience too. The food was not cold, but definitely not hot. The only other thing I would recommend is that please remember that these dishes Not made fresh, but warmed and in these situations a little more sauce would be great or even list an option to purchase a little more sauce. Please please do better! I have had this food many times and have been satisfied and you have always done a good job. This is the first time for delivery so I don't know if you have different standards for that but please try to figure out...
