The Best Mediterranean Spot in Raleigh A Hidden Gem! If you’re in Raleigh and love Mediterranean food, or even if you’ve never tried it, you have to visit this place! I’m on my third day in a row of eating here, and let me tell you, it just keeps getting better. The restaurant, which also has a grocery store inside, serves the best chicken in Raleigh, hands down. It's incredibly clean, and the food is always fresh. On my first visit, I got a Roastery whole chicken with rice, fries, and their amazing garlic sauce. My wife, who’s not usually a fan of Mediterranean food, absolutely loved it. She was so impressed that she insisted we go back the next day to get a half chicken with hummus and bread to make our own wraps at home. Today, I brought a friend along, and even though I’m on a diet, I still had an amazing meal. I swapped the rice for a side of parsley salad and hummus, and paired it with a quarter chicken. My friend got the chicken with garlic and rice, and he was blown away too. Considering this is their first year in business, they’ve surpassed my expectations in every way. The food, the service, the cleanliness – it’s all top-notch. I’m sure anyone who tries it will agree. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem – it’s the best Mediterranean food in town!

This new Middle Eastern grocery store includes a restaurant that serves authentic mediterranean foods. I ordered the chicken shawarma the first time I went and it was so good I had to go back again. The chicken shawarma came with this phenomenal garlic sauce made in house, and I truly could not get enough of it. I ordered it with a side of fries, which were crispy and seasoned to perfection. When I went back I tried their beef shawarma and it was the greatest decision I could have made. They don't always serve their beef shawarma so you'll just have to order a shawarma from them everyday until you have tried both the chicken and beef. The beef was so juicy and tender, and it was wrapped with this sauce (it must have been tahini sauce or something similar) that enhanced the flavor incredibly well. It also came with a side of that same sauce, and I can confirm that these fries are consistently on point. I definitely recommend to come for a quick meal, and while waiting for the food to check out the items they have for sale in the grocery section. First two pictures are chicken shawarma and the video is of the beef shawarma.

This is a new find for us. We drive from Chapel Hill to get to this place, and it is so worth the drive! Great place, and the service is awesome and quick. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great tasting Middle Eastern food. This is a unique place with a market and grill restaurant in one. It's very clean and modern with a great selection of grocery items. As for the restaurant, we really haven't found anything on their menu that we don't like. If I had to complain about anything, and this is really NOT a complaint, the tahini sauce could use a little more lemon and salt (that's just my personal taste), but the rest of the family feels it is perfect as is. And I dislike the fact that they only serve the Beef Shawarma on Friday and Saturday. It's Chicken Shawarma the rest of the time. I would like to see the Beef Shawarma on the menu all the time. Also their Barbecued Lamb Kabob is great, highly recommend it! As a bonus, they have a wonderful selection of made on site desserts that go well with any meal.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Basha and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service and atmosphere were top-notch as well.

Let's start with the food. The menu at al Basha is truly a culinary masterpiece. The dishes are expertly crafted with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Every dish was a true work of art.The flavors were authentic and simply mouthwatering. The portions were generous, ensuring that I left completely satisfied.
