Bean Sprout Chinese Restaurant, while boasting an inviting ambiance upon entry, unfortunately fell short of expectations in several key areas. Despite the initial promise of a delightful dining experience, the reality was marred by inconsistencies in food quality and cleanliness.

The interior, though charming at first glance, hinted at a lack of attention to detail in upkeep, raising concerns about the overall cleanliness of the establishment. These concerns were compounded when the food arrived. Regrettably, the chicken dish, a cornerstone of Chinese cuisine, failed to meet expectations. Its texture resembled rubber, and the temperature was notably colder than desired, indicating lapses in kitchen execution.

Moreover, the incongruity of receiving fried rice alongside a steamed diet dish was perplexing and detracted from the overall dining experience. Despite the restaurant's website painting a picture of culinary excellence, the reality fell short of these expectations.

While Bean Sprout Chinese Restaurant has potential, it currently lacks consistency in delivering a truly exceptional dining experience. With attention to food quality and cleanliness, coupled with a more accurate portrayal on its website, there's hope for improvement...

This is the only Chinese restaurant in the area that I frequent and I've been stopping in now for the past 7yrs. It's conveniently located but the parking lot can be easy to miss so be sure to pay attention. I've always picked up my order and so I can only speak to that experience. Service is fast, amiable and the food is good. A few favorites of mine are, the Dragon & Phoenix, the Steamed Dumplings, Egg Rolls, Fried Rice, Mixed Vegetables, also the Dinner Combo Plate Shrimp or Chicken with Eggplant. I recently tried the Wonton soup and it was just okay, it could use some improvement. While I've waited in line to pick up my order I have noticed that the interior of the establishment isn't very large so I would not advise larger groups or parties to dine in here. From what I can tell the sanitation rating is pretty high and the workers always seem to be practicing appropriate safe & healthy food practices. Since the college is right across the street, they're open late and they're easy to pick up from on the way home when you want an...

If you are from the Jersey/NY area looking for that style of Chinese food, this is the place! The food is spot on, full of flavor & done correctly! Not the weird, bland, completely all wrong in my opinion, other places thru out the area. & Yes, they even put bean sprouts in the egg rolls, fried rice & lo mein like it’s supposed to be!! Hence the name I guess. Everything i had was great! The egg rolls were definitely different from what i grew up with but still good. However, the fried rice, sesame chicken, & chicken lo mein were awesome & exactly like what i grew up with. Oh & the fortune cookies! They were even right! They were the delicious, actual cookie with the prominent orange flavor. Not the weird, almost synthetic ones like every where else has that have absolutely no taste. The service was great! They were all very friendly! The building is definitely in need of some repair/remodeling but that won’t deter me from making the 2 & 1/2 hour each way drive to return often! Thank you...

Idk WHO is giving this place good reviews, but this food was terrible. It may have been good at some point in history, but on the scale of Chinese— GARBAGE. They should be ashamed to claim “Chinese food”. Pictures of the food are great. But in this case, looks ARE deceiving. The taste was poor, the rice tasted like it was made at the local elementary school lunch room, and the “protein” dishes had so much batter on them it was simply ridiculous ( probably to mask the fact that you’re not getting much meat at all) Unless you’re an inebriated college student, or just can’t do better, don’t waste you time eating here. Disappointing. Stay far away from this place. You have been warned…..

This is what you expect when you come to a fast food Chinese restaurant. Simple food, reasonable price, and decent taste. The restaurant itself is really rundown with very minimal seating. Services decent, and you can get your food pretty quick. Taste wise, it’s really average. I’ve had much better, fast food, Chinese food, but also much worse. My one complaint is that their fried rice and their noodles mostly just salty rather than having other nice flavors in it. I will give them credit because I asked for it to be spicy, and they gave a delicious chili oil on the side.
