If you're in the mood for a true pastry experience, this Italian artisan bakery is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you're enveloped in the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods, all crafted with exceptional skill and care.
We had the pleasure of tasting a few standout items, starting with the French Vanilla Coffee. This rich, smooth coffee is perfectly balanced with a hint of vanilla, creating a comforting and indulgent drink that feels both luxurious and familiar. It's the ideal companion for any pastry.
Speaking of pastries, the Napoleon was nothing short of extraordinary. The layers of flaky, buttery pastry were perfectly crisp, while the rich custard filling was just the right amount of sweetness. It was a flawless execution of this classic French dessert, elevated with a unique artisan touch.
Finally, the Fruit La Passion was an absolute delight. This refreshing, tangy pastry combines the sweetness of fresh fruit with a passion fruit cream and a layer of cacao chocolate that was both vibrant and smooth. It was a perfect balance of flavors, light yet decadent, and absolutely bursting with freshness.
Chef Ben even entertained us with the stories of his creations and shared his love and passion for the pastries.
Overall, this bakery combines the best of Italian craftsmanship with a dedication to quality and creativity. Every bite was a reminder of the artistry behind his work, and we can't wait to return to try more of their tempting offerings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly authentic and unforgettable...
Read moreTwo weeks ago my father and his girlfriend ordered a cannoli cake and carrot cake. At the time the owner (husband) took the order he quoted a price for an 8 inch cake as 18 dollars a piece. Which we made sure to clarify with him. He Did not ask for payment. Today on Christmas Eve, my father went to get the cakes and was told that each cake would cost $35 instead. Double what was he was initially quoted. When he started to ask why the the owners called my dad and girlfriend liars. Now to be clear, the man bakes the wife manages the front. It was pretty evident when the wife started saying that we should have paid in advance the the husband clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing on the business side. And he messed up. 35 dollars for an 8 inch round cake is extremely overpriced. This coming from a Italian New Yorker. So instead of appeasing my dad wo rightfully would not pay that price, he stated “I would rather throw them out than sell them to you at that price.” Additionally they yelled at them and through them out of the store. Listen here folks, are the pastries good sure. Are they the beat I’ve eaten even down here. No. But my family (especially me and my husband) have been loyal repeat customers since they first opened in Rolesville. I will never go back again. As a business owner own your errors. If you don’t know how to take an order or what to do, don’t answer the phone. And if you make a mistake make it right! Merry Christmas I hope...
Read moreMy family and I were enjoying a nice trip to Galaxy Fun Land on 3 July 2017. We decided to stop at Bakery La Dolce for a little treat only to find no one behind the register. We wondered around for approximately 2- 3 minutes (unattended) before an unknown lady entered and approached from behind. The unknown lady never greeted my family nor did she ask how could she be of assistance. We decided to place an order of 3 cupcakes and 2 macaroons despite the representatives unfriendly and unwelcome nature. What made things even worse was that the representative displayed a complete lack of patience in rushing us through our order. As a case in point, she walked away and began ringing us up on the other side of the register before we even completed our order. We were afraid to even taste the pastries as a result of this poor service. Our decision point was if the service was that poor we could only wonder in fear how poor the quality of the deserts may have been. With everything being said, I'd encourage others to forgo this locale in favor of others who value...
