I came here seeing pretty decent reviews on the place but I wasn’t super impressed. Firstly, the waitress served TWO other people who came after me and only when I asked for water a second time did she serve and she didn’t seem pleased about the fact that I asked. Secondly, my food came late, again after the same people who arrived and were seated after me. Seeing how I was sitting there waiting for my food while everyone else was eating, she told me that strips were made “in house” and not “prepared before hand” ?? I did not understand that logic but okay, fine I guess. I finally get my food and guess what. It was not made in house. And how do I know this? It wasn’t piping hot like it was freshly made. At best I’d say it was warm. Then this server had the audacity to tell me I’d have to pay EXTRA for Kewpie mayo while other people had a thing of mayo on their plate? I don’t know if she was out for me or if I did something wrong but there is no way in hell I’m paying for mayo when other places offer it with their dishes. Food was decent, nothing spectacular. Paid an extra $3 to have cheese and flaked parsley and garlic sprinkled on my fries which wasn’t exactly pleasing. Overall, I’d say not to go here. I don’t know if I was targeted because I was alone or because I was a brown POC and everyone else there was white, but sure felt that way. There are other k fried chicken places that even though are a little far out, serve great food and aren’t rude to their customers.

Overall Rating: 6.8/10 This place offers a clean environment with a unique and comfortable atmosphere. It's a busy spot, which usually indicates good food and service. The staff is friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant dining experience. Atmosphere: 6.2/10 The restaurant's cleanliness and spacious layout make for a welcoming environment. The staff ensures customers are well attended to, keeping water glasses full and providing helpful explanations about the different chicken flavors, which adds a personal touch to the service. Food: Garlic Chicken Wings / Drums: 6.9/10 The wings stand out for their sweet and bold flavor, delivering on both taste and texture expectations. However, they're not extraordinarily different from other Korean places. BBQ Chicken: 4.9/10 This dish falls short mainly due to its lack of flavor and inadequate sauce application, making it less memorable than anticipated. Fried Rice with Garlic Chicken: 5.1/10 While the dish was satisfactory, it didn't impress in terms of flavor. The sesame taste was overpowering, overshadowing other expected flavors such as a fresh cucumber, leading to a lackluster experience. 1 Pokemon gym Value: 7.3/10 Pricing, at $55 for three people before tax, feels justified by the quantity and quality of the food, aligning with the overall dining experience provided. The cost reflects fair value, especially considering the attentive service and the quality of the surroundings

I always heard great things about Bonchon, but I'm never near one. I was in Raleigh recently around lunchtime, and it was the perfect opportunity to try it! They were BUSY! I only recall seeing 3 tables open when we arrived. Busyness did not prevent the staff from keeping things clean and in order. Although they were busy, meaning a lot of people were also dining in or picking up togo orders, I never felt any chaos. (I hope that makes sense.) I see why everyone loves it! Now I love it! 🤣 And I wish I lived closer because I've been wanting more. I got the lunch special with half Yangnyeom & half Korean BBQ plus fries. I do not know how they get the chicken so crispy, but it's perfect. Even when I warmed my togo plate up 2 days later, it was still crunchy, not soggy like typical rewarmed chicken. My favorite was the Yangnyeom sauce. Everyone we interacted with was kind. I told the waitress it was our first time, so she explained what different menu items were to help us with ordering. I am looking forward to going back whenever I'm in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bonchon in Raleigh, and I must say, it was a mouthwatering experience that left me craving more! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of Korean cuisine.

The menu at Bonchon offers a fantastic array of Korean dishes, but their specialty lies in their crispy and flavorful fried chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a satisfying crunch on the outside and tender, juicy meat on the inside. Whether you prefer the soy garlic glaze or the spicy sauce, each bite was bursting with delightful flavors that had me coming back for more. The menu also features other Korean favorites like bibimbap, bulgogi, and savory Korean tacos, all prepared with authentic and high-quality ingredients.

The service at Bonchon Raleigh was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with recommendations or any special requests. The food was served promptly, and the presentation was visually appealing, adding to the overall dining experience.

In addition to the fantastic food, the ambiance of Bonchon Raleigh was stylish and inviting. The restaurant had a modern and sleek design, making it an ideal spot for casual meals or gatherings with friends and family.

Overall, I highly recommend Bonchon Raleigh to anyone seeking a delectable Korean dining experience. With its flavorful menu, attentive service, and inviting ambiance, it's a go-to destination for satisfying your Korean food cravings. I am already looking forward to...
