Wow, had a pretty disappointing customer service experience today at the store. I was hopeful since there were good reviews posted. Went in to look at an engagement ring, the lady that helped was very kind and nice. However the person that I'm assuming is the owner (Omar?) was extremely condescending. I showed him a photo of the style of ring I was looking for and he kept repeating that it was going to be at least 40k and that sales like that only happen for him once a year. I said okay, 40k is fine, but he kept saying 40k over and over again as if I'm couldn't comprehend what he's trying to imply. Perhaps I look "poor and young" to him today, but my partner and I are are in our 30s and and 40k was well within his 3 month salary budget. The man that helped us just gave my friend and I very incredulous looks like we were just ridiculous kids messing around. He then asked if I wanted natural diamonds and I said I was opened to both natural and lab diamonds, and then he proceeded to mock and laugh at us. I was hoping to support a BIPOC business, but left with a bad taste in my mouth. I went upstairs and Reeds quoted me the same ring around 32k with much...
Read moreI want to start off and say the staff are really nice folks. I took an engagement band over to get it resized and they sized it down instead of up like I had originally said, after getting the call the ring is ready, I am looking at it and it looks a lot smaller than before and the jeweler says they made a mistake and they will fix it. After getting the second call it was ready I went to check and the ring i spent $1.5k on is bent and I am to get engaged in a week… i am completely bummed out. I’m stuck because i spent so much on the actual ring and i can no longer return it because I had them engrave it too. The engraving itself also looks off, one word is bigger than the others. I will not be taking my jewelry here for resizing or engraving again in the future and i recommend y’all don’t either as it is a 50/50 they will...
Read moreMy husband wanted to treat me to a piece of jewelry a while back. I'm not a huge jewelry person - I like simple and unassuming. Even though we weren't spending tons of money, we were treated as if we were the most valuable customers ever. The necklace we bought broke a year and a half later (we knew it would break eventually - very delicate chain) and I brought it in for repair. Again, not a speck of condescension - I was treated just as well as I was before and the cost for the repair was incredibly reasonable. I may not be a big "bling" person, but I will definitely come back here for any future jewelry purchase or service. I wish I were into big, flashy jewelry because I would love to support this business more. I will absolutely recommend them to anyone I speak with when the topic of...
