Wow. I hate to say it, but my experience tonight was truly horrible. We ordered bowl of stew, large baked potato, grilled cheese sandwich, and bowl of lobster bisque soup. With a coke. The only thing they got right was the coke. After 20 minutes of waiting, I inquired about status. They weren't aware of the order. The only thing that took any work was the grilled cheese, but nothing was ready. 5 minutes later, the first attempt at the order arrived. They were missing the lobster bisque soup and and grilled cheese but the unordered tomato soup was a surprise.
The second time the order arrived, it included a beef lovers sandwich (we never ordered it) but no cheese sandwich or beef stew. They never read the order slip. What is the purpose of Point-of-sale terminal if nobody looks at it?
The third time was a charm. They took back the unordered sandwich but left the dipping broth, brought the grilled cheese sandwich. The order arrived in full at the 30 minute mark after ordering. The only thing lacking was sufficient cheese. We were truly surprised at the lack of cheese. My wife pulled the the bread back to find cheese. And kept pulling, and pulling, and pulling. A grilled cheese sandwich should be oozing cheese from at least three sides but this sandwich barely had cheese visible in the middle.
There were at least six employees preparing food but very little forward motion. I saw potatoes get replated twice. Soup was poured from a bowl into a to-go cup. Side items were put on trays and then removed as the order slip was read again. The list of wasted effort goes on and on, but I am side tracking.
I have always liked Jason's deli and will probably go back because they have been tasty and excellent for that long. However, this visit was seriously below the minimum standard...
Read moreThe kids menu is horrendous! In the past we’ve had Mac N Cheese- it was like soupy gravy consistency and the Kraft box at home way better! Then we’ve had the pizza- dough so thick our 7 year old couldn’t eat it. Today we tried the chicken tenders which was inedible! The breading was terrible and it had an old smell to it. I did return it and ask for the meatballs and pasta which I received with an attitude from the employee like I was being difficult- I wanted to tell her how about she try and eat it and see what she thought of it… The only thing we’ve had on the kids menu that as average is the pasta and meatballs. I always get the Ruben which was good- I just feel bad if we go with my daughter, she has very limited options. The ice cream machine is broken- huge disappointment, if I had known I wouldn’t have eaten there for lunch! And I asked for a pickle and was told “we don’t hand out pickles” which I’ve always gotten them with my sandwich in the past without any problems. I don’t mind paying extra for the pickle if that’s the case, however I was not told that by the employee ringing me up. The restaurant tables were dirty, the employees don’t seem happy to work there, very few of them smile or make eye contact. I paid about $24 in total for one adult and one child- not worth it at all. I’ll be calling before I ever go to a Jason’s deli if the ice cream machine is working- its the best ice cream, the food is ok and I’m willing to pay for it only if I can have the delicious...
Read moreMy family and I visited Jason’s Deli (Briarcreek #077) on 11/12/23 at 7:45pm. Our soup was served barely luke warm and I kindly asked that my tomato soup be reheated. The gentlemen at the end of the counter had no problem reheating it and delivered meals to the dine in customers while it was being microwaved. There were several trays that were prepared to go out and when the soup was reheated, he asked his co-worked Zee (who appeared to be doing nothing) to hand the soup to me while he delivered more meals. She scolded him loudly and said “no— next time don’t ask me”. After I continued to stand there waiting, she slowly got the soup out of the microwave, aggressively tossed it on a tray, and flung it at me across the counter. I told her thank you and she rolled her eyes. Attached is a pic of what I was served- pitiful.
Zee’s attitude ruined my meal and was uncalled for- and this is what represents Jason’s Deli. She was hostile throughout the dining experience and at one point started yelling at her coworkers and freely using the F word. I came for a sandwich and soup- not this.
I can’t imagine this is the first time it’s been brought to management’s attention— It’s better to be understaffed than have an employee who takes no pride in the job they accepted and get paid for, their teammates, or the customers.
Attached is a photo of the soup she threw across the counter at me, Zee’s photo, and a copy...
