Patio bar at willcobar. Cool decors and delicious drink, except the snobbish vague service that we received. Was there last Friday at a friend’s invite who had a booking in the patio. No sign of waiting to be seated so we entered, trying to join our friends who were still inside the bar waiting for the table. Was stopped by a staff rudely telling me we can’t go further. Knowing about the patio rush, we tell him that we aren’t going to the patio but at the other table where are friends are at. Staff still not sure if he wants to let us in, gives a vague reply and tells me he will go check with the bartender if he can let us in!!! Finally lets us join our friends at the table. The bartender surely is not the right person about making these decisions They need a SERIOUS TRAINING for the staff and a Bar Manager may be to set things up! However this place is likely to blow up on tik tok and no one will care about the service...
Read moreThis is more than just a a Mezcal bar. This is culture. I am from Mexico and fell in love with mezcal a long time ago. The mezcal selection is the best I have seen in North Carolina, yet, the ambiance and the decoration are a fantastic representation of the mezcal culture in México.
The place has tons of well thought details, The cocktails are perfectly balanced and preserve the essence of mezcal.
The staff is extremely friendly , knowledgeable , and most importantly , respectful of the Oaxaca, Mexico culture.
Mezcal is not the type of alcohol that you can drink in a shot. Mezcal is one of the most complex and tasteful "spiritual" beverages you can find.
