To sum up Seasons 52 at this location in two words - utter disappointment. The food was great, what's to be expected of Seasons 52. It was the service that ruined the entire experience. Unlike the server Tracy, however, I am not a monster and still tipped 20%. Even though I had walked into the restaurant with the full intention of tipping at 25%. So, despite the server ruining our evening, I chose not to ruin hers. Here are the details: I had made reservations a few days in advance, explicitly stating that we'd be a large party of 8. I called the day of to confirm the reservations and ensure that a party of 8 could be accommodated. And nothing there, we were accommodated. We were on time, within our reservation window, and the table was already set - so that's great! However, it seemed like our server, Tracy was not too keen on serving a table of 8. She was rushed, rude, and unkind. Let's start with her not even offering the vegan/GF/vegetarian menus until asked. She forgot one of our drink orders, didn't tell us what drink she was slamming down on the table, while spilling it. She didn't offer or bring straws, brought water in dirty glasses, and asked us to push our own plates to her when she cleared out the table. While we were a large party, but we were a very well-behaved party - we weren't loud or rude, if anything most people in the party are quite soft-spoken. Our orders were not complicated either. However, we did want some time to look through the menu, talk among ourselves what we wanted, and not feel rushed. But she wanted us to order within 5 mins of being seated. We were celebrating my nephew's first day of college, something I had indicated in when making our reservation in their special notes section. One would think she'd be friendly and nice knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion - however, she was the one and only reason that ruined a night that should have been celebratory instead. It's not something I would expect from Seasons 52. She brought in the check right with the desserts and slammed it on the table - she just didn't want to serve our table from the start to the end. While I've dined at other Seasons 52 locations - Bethesda, MD, San Diego, CA, Boston, MA, and the service at all those locations was lovely, this location in Raleigh should not be a Seasons 52-- it's an utter disappointment. If I want to feel mistreated, I don't think I should have to spend this kind of money to be mistreated. And I'll be back in Raleigh to visit my nephew and spend time with him, and we'll never return to this location again! I wish I had never made reservations here, and gone...
Read moreWe went to celebrate my birthday, and the hubby made reservations. Better this way, so please reserve you spot. We walked in to a friendly greeter and THE MANAGER showed us to our table. He knew our name and the purpose of our visit. When our waitress came, she sat an announcement plaque on the table. It took me some time to turn it around to read it. Our waitress name was Kylani, (sorry if I spelled it wrong) but she was hands down a gem. She introduced herself and gave us the run down of how the restaurant works. First timers here!! She was gracious and kind, she wished me a happy birthday and began helping us make choices. Now the prices do very from like $12 for an appetizer to more tha. $25 for your dinner. They do have a selection of wine for all the wine drinkers that read this. We settled for sweet tea and the delicious house made lemonade. Something to salivate over. Gesh it was good. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and their lump crab cake.. the sauce paired with the crab cake was off the chart good. I tried to take my husband's. You get only one crab cake for the appetizer and I think 6 mini stuffed mushrooms, but it's just an appetizer and it was great. For dinner we had the planked salamon with veggies and that special sauce. I had the shrimp and grits... which was elevated to royal status with bacon chorizo tomatoes and a delicious sauce. Yes plenty of shrimp!! Our meals were delicious and well prepared. For dessert because it was my birthday celebration, on the house they give you two of the shot glass desert. Amazing presentation Kylani gave when giving us the choices. Every plate that crossed by us in transit to its final destination looked delicious. By the way.. Kylani explained that the menu changes with EVERY season and if you looking to go in November it maybe different then what we ate. So the menu is suppose to fit the season I can't wait for summer. I will be back there before that. However plan to spend about $85 or more if it's just 2 of you. Well worth the money and experience. If you happen to get Kylani you will be in great hands. She didn't miss our drinks, she was on point. She is cut from a clean cloth. Loved her!! I could go on and on. Well done and thanks. Oh and the plaque said " Happy Birthday" even had another waiter sing it to me....
Read moreSeasons 52 is one of my favorite chain restaurants. I loved dining at the restaurant in New York, so I decided to give it a try after the holiday. I invited a friend out for a late dinner. This location is within the Crabtree Valley Mall. Luckily we were able to score parking near the restaurant. Typically the lot is overcrowded. I made a 830 reservation by phone hours ahead and Connor was kind enough to accommodate that. He confirmed the All- Day Happy Hour Menu is honored anywhere you are seated in the restaurant. Upon arrival a hostess and gentleman showed me to our large booth. Thanks to Connor, seating was spacious and comfortable. A star was deducted for the lackluster service we received. My waitress arrived and when asked about the All Day Happy Hour she shared that the restaurant no longer does this. Much to my surprise Connor just shared with me that they in fact offer the All Day Happy Hour Cocktail menu throughout the restaurant 1.5 hours before I arrived. She debated this and then went to ask management. This would have been solved had she looked at her menu and Studied this. In this situation, the customer is right. As we always need to be treated as such. She returned with the happy hour cocktail menu and apologized. The All Day Happy Hour cocktail menu was our motivation to visit. I decided on the Bourbon Iced Tea and my friend had a flavored martini. The bourbon iced tea was great for $7.00. We decided on the meatball & the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. I did not enjoy the pita bread that arrived for the table. For dinner I went with the Sea Scallops served with broccolini and risotto. Scallops are an excellent choice for lean protein. This was delicious. The dessert menu is always something to look forward to. We decided on the pumpkin & turtle cheesecake shooters. Perfection as always and the perfect portion.
My rating would be a 3 if it wasn’t for the meals redeeming themselves. I did not feel welcomed by our waitress. I am unsure if she was tired or what it was. Retirement may be...
