We recently had the pleasure of catering a wedding reception at the Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. As a food catering service, we have collaborated with numerous venues across the Triangle area, but our experience with the Marriott Crabtree Valley truly stood out. The venue itself is excellent, providing a perfect backdrop for any wedding reception. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for guests. The layout of the event spaces is thoughtfully designed, allowing for a seamless flow of activities throughout the reception. What truly set this experience apart was the support and professionalism of the Marriott Crabtree staff. From our initial interactions to the day of the event, the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence. They were proactive in their communication, ensuring that every detail was covered and that we were well-prepared to deliver our services. On the day of the event, the staff continued to impress us with their efficiency and willingness to assist wherever needed. Their support was invaluable in helping us set up and serve the food smoothly, contributing significantly to the overall success of the reception. They were always on hand to address any last-minute needs and worked collaboratively with our team to ensure that everything ran according to plan. The Marriott Crabtree Valley's commitment to providing a first-class experience was evident not only in their staff's professionalism but also in the quality of their venue. Many guests commented on the venue's ambiance and the seamless coordination, which speaks volumes about the venue's capabilities and attention to detail. Overall, working with the Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh was a standout experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a well-executed event. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a top-tier location for their event in the Triangle area. Their exceptional staff and impressive facilities make them a leader in the region, and we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate...
Read moreThe hotel is clean and neat but lots of things made me not really enjoy my stay. If you want to use the hotel internet then you have to pay $12.95 per day as as resort fee.. this is Raleigh and not Las Vegas, so why are we paying for wifi when the hotel already has wifi running to every floor. They do say that you can get the wifi premium package for free if you join as a Marriott club member but you have to book directly thru Marriott website and not a third party agent like Travelocity or priceline. They still pushed for me to join the club points rewards program at check in but i doubt I will now after this stay. Our TV didn't work and we couldn't watch TV at all the first night. You also can't bring your firestick or roku with you as they do not allow you to connect that device to the tv even if you purchase the wifi at 13 bucks a day..
The safe was locked when we got there. We had to have staff come reset the safe and the TV but had to wait until the second day since staff had to come in the room to fix the issues, and we had people sleeping at the time.
There a tiny fridge but no microwave in the rooms so no way to get your left overs warmed back up. The lobby is clean and neat as were the rooms. The food at the restaurant is expensive and not worth it in my opinion ( $19 burgers) so we ate at the mall across the st.
We called ahead of time to make sure they had the pool open as many chains do not at this time and use covid as the excuse. We were told the pool was open and it wasn't upon arrival. We called and asked about the pool and were told it was closed due to the storm front but it barely rained and never stormed at all. No thunder or lighting in the area until we'll after midnite and the pool closes at 10 pm.
Overall we didn't think the rates were worth it since we seem to get so much more at other places for free, like wifi, and cheaper rates. If you want a clean hotel I can say that we enjoyed the cleanliness.
I doubt that I will become a member of the points rewards program with Marriott at this time based off of this stay. Maybe it is just this location that needs some help getting...
Read moreOverall level of service was EXTREMELY POOR. Upon arrival there was a valet person outside on his cellphone as well as a bellhop in which neither of them welcomed or asked us if we needed assistance. This left me to get a cart myself to unload luggage and then go park my car which I intended to valet. The next morning I called for some coffee to be sent to our room. Who knew that it would take just about an hour, so after 45mins of waiting I canceled the order and went downstairs to the bar to get some myself only to be let down again by poor service. The bartender in this case had already taken a food order which the kitchen messed up 3x thus me never being able to place my order because instead of correcting the problem, the bartender (who obviously at 9am was not busy making cocktails) was too busy explaining what she does not do when again she should’ve simply apologized and kept moving forward. Then the next let down was when we needed to take the hotel shuttle over to the mall but the driver was nowhere to be found. When we inquired about the driver, we were told he was on the phone. After waiting 15mins he finally came out but seemed to have an attitude as he was driving very fast and turning corners very abruptly. Finally, later that evening we were sitting in the lounge area which at this time was crowded when we asked a waitress who had brought drinks to another couple sitting nearby if we could order two glasses of wine. While the waitress was very friendly she told us that she doesn’t work over here and was only helping out since the bar and lounge were full. I politely explained that this seemed to be the “common response” to our stay here as it was apparent that the hotel was having a very difficult time handling being booked to capacity which left us with the impression that quality and quantity couldn’t go hand in hand at this property. Needless to say, the facility was very nice but the level of poor service provided by its staff unfortunately did not allow my wife and I to really enjoy our stay to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary a...
