Artspace — Attraction in Raleigh

This beautifully creaky old building has been around forever. The old car dealership turned art studio still has a few remnants of its past if you look closely. First Friday is always fun here. There's always at least three galleries open and then the 30 or so studios full of very different work. Can not say enough wonderful things about ArtSpace. We used their Gallery 2 and People's Studio on the second floor for a corporate event. Their development director Nathalie was a dream to work (answered all our questions, was flexible on how we used the space, helped us move a ton of furniture around) and their CEO Carly even addressed our audience. Love ArtSpace! I have only been there to take my K-5 students on field trips. I have been extremely pleased with the creative art activities that are provided for my students. I am also constantly impressed with the art on display in the studios and love that it is a creative, collaborative, welcoming space where you are free to speak to the artists (if they're in studio & welcoming guests) about their art.
