I have eaten here many times before and its always good but tonight i was very disappointed in the service. I ordered pickup around 9pm. I live 20 mins away so by the time my husband went to pick up the food, waited for it to be ready and drove home, it was almost 10, when they close.
I ordered arroz camaron but got arroz pollo instead. I'm pescetarian and cannot eat the chicken so i called them. They said i can exchange the food for the correct order but theyre about to close. I ask can i just get my money back for the one item that was wrong, and they told me i need to bring the food back tomorrow in order them to give me a refund. As if they didnt believe me about my order being incorrect.
This is ridiculous because after the food sits in my fridge all night its not like they can sell it to someone else, so its just a waste of food at that point. They were the ones who made the mistake on my order, the girl i spoke to said she rang up ACC on my ticket yet i received ACP. She said she couldnt give me a refund because she is just the shift manager and the general manager wont allow it. I wasnt even asking for a full refund of my entire order, just the one incorrect item.
So it seems the greedy management here would rather waste food and lose customers rather than fix their mistake. Very disappointing.
On top of this, my husband could see into the kitchen while he was waiting for our order to be ready and none of the cooks had their masks on correctly. They all had them pulled halfway off their face. We are in a pandemic and this is extremely disgusting and unsafe.
Definitely will...
Read moreHad a friend (waitress) who used to work here & she said the hygiene in the back is nasty, they don't make fresh drinks everyday they are given to paying customers even a couple days after being made apparently til they're finish selling them and prepare the food in a dirty space. I thought she might be exaggerating until today in my lunch time. It really showed how sloppy they are after ordering my tacos & it was HARD HARD HARD absolutely NOT fresh meat & the Orchata tasted just awfully muy espesa, thick. I imagine the meat was old too that's why it was so hard. Never coming back! I just tried it today because I was working about 3 minutes away and did not want to drive far away since I live 5 minutes away. Only the pictures on the internet of the food look good because the taste is BLAND. Put some Mexican flavors in it! Some seasoning or something!! Disappointed, I eat tacos very often & these are the WORST I EVER HAD. Also the workers think they are welcomed to take a bigger tip than I put down on the receipt $5 but she took $10, robbing me and I did not even eat my food and got eye rolls from the waitress when I told her I didn't like the food. Bad service, bad prices I don't get why overprice food when the taste is nothing special. Other Mexican restaurants are more friendly when something is wrong, cheaper, and tasting so much delicious n fresh!!! OH and they wont STEAL your money. P.S: THAT MUSIC IS TOO LOUD. Why would anyone think that's OK in a restaurant??? It is not a party or night club, got me annoyed when the waitress couldn't hear me tell her my order. Never...
Read moreMany, many years ago this used to be a Wendy's which was later was abandoned for many years, and finally after a series of short-lived eateries we have this lovely place today, bristling with atmosphere and replete with posters of upcoming local Hispanic acts in the area. Five stars for atmosphere, four stars for food. But only Two stars for sanitation - they really need to work REALLY HARD on their sanitation rating - it was a 90 which is absolutely awful! Onto the food, it was cooked very well and tasty and the portions were generous. The patrons are mostly Hispanic families - from grandparents to little babies, dressed in their best, enjoying a night. Wonderful atmosphere, reminded me of Mexico City. The english menu is huge (which is usually a bad sign) but I soon realized that it is just a bunch of permutations and combinations of a few basic staples, so no worries there. Prices are not cheap and I'd say slightly above average. There was also a Mariachi band serenading tables and singing soulful love ballads and getting cheers and requests. Yup! A neighborhood eatery from the gritty Xochimilco borough in Mexico City is right here on Capital...
