Two Roosters Ice Cream — Restaurant in Raleigh

This place had some of the best ice cream I've ever had! Every item had something local in it (a few examples bourbon, hibiscus tea, coffee). It was nice to see local businesses supporting other business's. I had the strawberry/honey and blackberry/hibiscus both of which were very refreshing. More subtle than sweet, very creamy. The strawberry one has bits of strawberry in it to where you knew it was fresh. Friend had the peanut butter scotcher one and a mint chocolate and loved both. Staff was very nice and answered our questions. They even helped us sample and pick our flavors. Ooh and they had a flight option with 6 flavor options! If we hadn't of just eaten lunch i would of tried all of the flavors in a couple of flights!

They have their own line of merchandise which was neat. A handful of tables for inside seating plus it's a nice area to walk outside with your ice cream.

Aesthetically I think the only thing missing was being able to see the ice cream (you eat with your eyes first). It's all enclosed so you don't see it until it's served. Very minor thing though, definitely did not ruin the experience. Would...

We visited here Friday night, and the ice cream was great. Been coming to this place for a while. My issue is on the service side. We walked in about 8:45 and could tell right away the workers were not delighted to have us. We ordered our ice cream and sat down at a table. We assumed they closed at 10:00 being Friday and all but noticed the worker started flipping chairs on the table at 8:50 or so… so we got the clue they were about to close, so we were hurrying up to eat our ice cream. At about 9:01 a worker came to our table and informed us that they were closing and that we needed to leave. We were kind of confused and taken back a little but to be honest. So we walked out and another couple walked in beside us, they were very rude and told the customers they were closed so they left with us. We both stood outside kind of like okay… well that was rude. I understand employees wanting to go home, but to kick out paying customers who are eating their ice cream a minute after closing is a bit excessive. We decided to give this place a try since they were nearby and appeared to have since vegan ice cream flavors on the menu.

Luckily for me, they not only had 2 vegan ice cream flavors, but both were also gluten free. Woo hoo!
