Wendy's — Restaurant in Raleigh

I arrived here 7/28/17 at 9:50pm and we did not even get our food until 10:51pm this was the most terrifying experience of my life. The only reason l stayed for the food was because my 6 year old son wanted wendys so bad. I want to expess my whole experience up here be aware that if you want to be appreciated please dont think about it here. The manager on duty he said his name was Salomon but i don't know because he would not give me a receipt or a hand written receipt and he didnt have a name tag on actually nobody had one on and he did not do his job as a manager making sure that I was satified either. Once again i did not recieve my reciept that i asked for over 3 times I shouldn't of had to beg for a receipt smh. when I got my order I was missing 1 frie, cup of cheddar and my drink was not the right size. Mind you it tasted like my burger wasn't seasond and cool also and my fries where cold but for as long as I waited everything should have been fresh . My cheese sauce was also cold with hamburger meat prices in it. My order was Son of a baconater combo with a small frie and a large strawberry lemonade and I used the coupon 2$ off Any combo, and a Dave double with mayo ketchup and lettuce combo with small frie and drink with a coupon for 5$ , and the last thing was a Dave single plain with a large frie and a cup of chedder and a small drink the coupon was get a sandwich free with purchase of any frie and drink. Mind you they didn't upsize or sujestive self either before I even said anything about a coupon . while taking and making my order wrong the employees had the window opened standing inside talking about how they could not wait to get off to get there free food when they got off when I still didn't get mine at all!! As long as I waited I should have got mine free!! After this that happened when I finally got my food I told the manager what I was missing and he told me that I didn't order 3 combos so I couldn't get my 3 fries that's crazy and if that was the case why did I order 3 burger and 3 drinks????? Plus no receipt remember smh. I finally gave up and said I was going to leave my review so I parked to eat while I was eating the same manage Salomon had the dinning room entrance door open and was smoking a cigarette right there with the door open with smoke going into the restaurant that's crazy. The lady that was behind me also waiting a very long time in drive thru pulled beside me to tell me how heated she was about her messed up order and how they refuse to give her the food she ordered. I hope they fix...

UPDATED 04 May 2024: Took a chance again at Wendy's... Can't say I was thrilled but can't say I was as disappointed as the last time.

We dined in this time. Even though the kitchen looked like a lot of people working in there, the food still took a while to come out. My guess we're warm at best. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was good.

Finishing a table was tough, not because it was crowded but because most were dirty.

The only bright side to this visit was the gentleman taking our order - he was cheerful and had a great attitude.

The drive through line took a ridiculously long time to get through! When I pulled up, there was one car at the ordering kiosk. They were there at least three minutes before pulling up to the pick up window. I waited at least five minutes before being able to place my order. Once I placed my order, I pulled around to the pick up window. The person in front of me was already gone. I waited at least three minutes before the person opened the window, handed me my drink, and asked me to pull up because they were cooking the fries. They didn't give me a straw so I couldn't even enjoy my drink while waiting. I pulled up and waited at least eight minutes to get my food!

This seemed like a ridiculously long time to wait for "fast" good. Oh, the dining room was empty, so it's not like they had a lot of customers!

When I got my food, the fries were warm at best, not even hot! Which I would have expected after waiting so long.

About the only good thing with this visit was the Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich. It had a nice spice/great level.

I will accept responsibility for what happened - I don't usually have a positive experience at Wendy's and knew I shouldn't have...

March 12, 2025: Arrived at this Wendy's location around 11:15 pm in a Sprinter campervan. I was very hungry after driving up from Crystal Coast non-stop. Inside service was closed, as expected, but the drive through was open.

The Wendy's drive through at this location has a narrow approach, with a sharp left turn, and a 9 ft bar over the driveway just before the drive thru ordering speakers. My Sprinter is 10 ft tall and 25 ft long but I was really hungry so I circled the store. The cars that were there when I first arrived got their orders and left. The drive thru was empty

I drove up to the payment window but not under the rain canopy; I would have had to exit the vehicle to pay, had I been allowed to make a purchase.

I explained I was hungry and the van was too tall to use the drive thru speakers. I asked if I could please order at the window.

I was told that if I could fit under the canopy, I could fit in the drive through.

I was not under the canopy and explained that I was a foot taller than the drive thru order menu would allow and asked again, could I buy some food?

I was told that if I could fit under the canopy, I could use the drive thru.

I drove to the Mercedes dealer up the street and went...
