Update...another new experience Advertising "no purchase necessary" Game piece advertised to be on medium soft drinks. Normally I get a large...needing the caffeine in the morning because I don't drink "large" coffee.. Get the drink no game piece??? I asked. No its only on "large coffee" well that's NOT WHAT THE SIGN SAYS... what happened to no purchase necessary then. Well you have to mail a request for that. What a joke...oh well.
Update..new experience Feb 9. 2017 Back for more punishment. I ordered a grand big Mac no pickels the ticket said no pickles. The sandwich had pickles on it. I'm allergic to pickles...I called them they took my name(they said) I kept the receipt (not the burger/took a picture) I live 30 minutes away so it's been a couple days and I'm not in the area often. The shift manager had no solution because it was breakfast time and it was a lunch item and she would not refund the money without the burger.(BS!) I showed the picture and the receipt. "Sorry. Policy" then lucky the store manager came in. She said Dr couldn't refund the money but she could give me breakfast. I've already had breakfast... I explained again the distance I live and the last time I was there was 9 months ago and I had her read my previous review. She refunded my purchase at that point. My point to this is McDonald's has raised the pay for a high school level job and the quality of food and service is poor. The only fast food establishment I see doing anything to justify the raise in cost of the food is Jack in the box. They have increased their quality in meat and in menu items. Carl's jr/Hardee's has marginally increased a couple menu items. I was an assistant manager at Hardee's in high school.
Update.changed my rating from one to 4 star for a few reasons. It's Raining its Friday and it's busy. I went inside because the drive thru was backed out to the street. They had two people out taking pre-orders like in-n-out, good job. Front counter staff was fast and friendly. They did not charge for mayonnaise. And when asked why the monopoly pieces weren't on the muffin or hash brown wrapper, they provided the pieces from different wrappers. Only earned 4 out of 5 because their prices are 22% greater than the McDonald's on Arden and Howe and they don't Cary individual mayonnaise packets. From initial review with one star rating Terrible customer service and policy? It's policy to charge for mayonnaise? I've already paid $8 for $2 worth of food... thanks minimum wage hike...service isn't worth $3.25 an hour. It's an unskilled job for a reason. Stay in school kids. McDonald's university isn't really a...
Read moreJanuary 3rd, my mom and I went through the drive thru of this Mc Donald’s. I ordered each of us a two cheeseburger meal. When I got to the window, I was parked by a ridiculous so called worker named Amy for “3 minutes” while we waited for fresh fries. I decided after 15 minutes to go in and stand at the counter and observe before I said anything. I saw fries come up not only once, but twice. I then asked someone at the counter if they forgot they parked me. When I was parked, I was only given drinks. When the ridiculous broad came back to the counter she had the nerve to tell me she was still waiting on fries. At that point I told her, not only is she not waiting on fries… I watched them come up twice and I still don’t have the cheeseburgers from any of the two meals either. At that point, 25 minutes had passed from the time I ordered and was parked. There were over 5 people behind the counter so being short staffed was not the issue.
When she came back a 3rd time, I asked for a refund for both meals so I can just leave because it was quite clear she didn’t have a clue what she was doing. She told me she would only be refunding my fries and I replied back to her that no she was not only refunding my fries when I paid for two meals and didn’t receive them. She got smart and I raised my voice and demanded my refund. This ridiculous broad called the police on me for demanding my money and I had to speak to the district manager who was at home in order to get my money back. In the meantime, I have not heard one word from the husband and wife couple that own that restaurant. The district manager came to the store and refunded me, but I will not let go of the fact that she attempted to intimidate me by calling the police when I was well within my right to get a refund for items I never received. I will not let this go and I’ll take it as far as I have to. You don’t get to throw stones and hide your hands! I did not get what I paid for nor did I want it after waiting for it 30 minutes and you had the nerve to call the police on me?!? I’m definitely not...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite location as it is convenient and was always pretty fast. However they have very quickly catapulted.
Every time we come here we ask for BBQ sauce with our meal and they never put it in the bag. It happened so many times where the line was so long we didn’t want to wait back in the drive through line just to get it. They charge for BBQ sauce, which I’d expect, but at least put it in the bag if you’re going to charge us.
We’ve started checking the bag before pulling away every time and will ask for it again at the window.. but last night they wanted to charge us AGAIN, didn’t believe us when we said we checked the bag, and refused to give us any. We tried to show them the receipt that says we payed for sauce and they were useless. One of the workers was even trying to say we lied about not getting any and insisted to another worker that she put it in the bag. The manager finally came to the window and gave us a cookie cutter “we’re working on it” response and ended up giving us the sauce.
I was baffled. I myself have worked in the service industry for years and am SO patient with other service workers because I know how it can be sometimes. I’m aware it’s fast food and not a high end restaurant but after every time paying for sauce and not getting it and then asking politely for it again to get back talked and treated terribly over it… I didn’t realize McDonalds was so stingy over BBQ sauce or that it was such an inconvenience to simply put it in the bag if we’ve payed for it.
Their ice scream is a whole other story… safe to say we will not be coming back here and will give our money to Chick-Fil-A instead, better food anyway. Plus the workers there are always happy...
