Panera Bread — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

There are times when they don't follow the customizations properly and the tomatoes are old because they are sliced the day before, but for the most part everything taste good except that the soup is slightly on the salty side and they don't put enough meat on the sandwiches unless you pay extra. This is unacceptable given the price of a combo meal. The environment is that of a comfortable family restaurant even though it gets busy. This is my favorite Panera in the area and there are several. One criticism that I could make is that the temperature is too cold in there – bordering on freezing in some parts of the restaurant. Please keep track of the weather and temperature each day and make adjustments. Another criticism is that the bathrooms are not as well tended to at times as they should be and they are small there's no reason for them to be dirty at any time especially given the money that you make on a daily basis on this place. Customers deserve a clean place to eat and to use the restroom. I know that they only clean the floor once per day at closing and only replace toilet paper as needed. When I do go there, I am usually there for at least 5 -6 hours and eat several meals there, so I know how the place is run. The bathroom should be cleaned on an hourly basis especially the men's room. One time, they were cleaning the women's room at the end of the day and I had to use the men's room to go to the bathroom and it smelled like pee in there. Thus, the floors need to be mopped several times a day in order for it not to smell like pee and you should have air fresheners in both bathrooms. One more criticism is that there are times when the staff is understaffed, and plates get left on tables for more than 20 minutes. This is unacceptable! The restaurant should have at least TWO people manning the floor at all times – one person serving plates and the other person cleaning tables. When the restaurant goes through a lull period, you can use those two people to help clean the bathrooms and other various tasks. The General Manager is also not that friendly. I’ve seen him a number of times and he makes me feel that he doesn’t care. Of course, this may not be the case, but when working with the public, you need to present your best customer service face. Sorry, but we cannot read your mind and that’s just the way it is in serving the public. I've spent hundreds of dollars in this restaurant, so I feel that my opinion should carry some weight. UNSANITARY FLIES ON THE PASTRIES !!!!🤮. The pastries arent lock in a glass like they would in an actual legit bakery everything is out sit all day flies fly on it so disgusting.the floor is dirty. Always long lines, especially during lunch its a nightmare .the prices are beyond outrageous they really scalp custumers 4.79$ for a large drink , really ?! 11.99 for a very sad looking tasteless pizza extremely basic dough tomato sauce cheese and some dry and gresy pepperonies. Blaze makes custumized fresh ones for 10.99$ . All their food is massed factory produced shipped frozen and reheated on the spot. For the price of those cookies you can go to a REAL bakery for homemade pastry and 8$ for bread just no..... 85 degree got sweet stating 1.60$ to 2.10$ i seriously dont get how panera stay open when you can get better deal literally EVERYWHERE ELSE . Fyi they now hide the unlimited drink BEHIND THE CASHIER . GUETTO AND RIDICULOUS. The food portion are TINY dont expect to get food on a sample size mac and cheese and a soup .the food is A JOKE ! 2024 they finally removed the dangerous over caffeinated drink for non caffeine one still 300 kal ish per drink for the fruity ones ( still not healthy but better than previous ones) . They removed all the chair and tables outside so now you cant even enjoy fresh air .the tables inside were dirty i suggest bringing sanitizing wipes with u if u plan on bringing...

The positive is the food is good. Unfortunately, the restaurant is filthy. There was a dirty rag left at the drink station, a lot of dirty dishes just sitting by the trash receptical, there is trash all over the carpet, and a trail of spilled coffee from the coffee station to the kitchen area behind the cashier counter. I had to complain to a manager after sitting at least 30 minutes in this filthy place. This was even after I had already told a female cashier and all she did was giggle after I mentioned about the trail of spilled coffee. I was concerned because someone could slip and fall. I was just dumbfounded by the lack of empathy from the employee. That same cashier and the manager were just socializing and laughing before I complained to the manager. This was in a relatively slow Sunday at 5:30PM on April 30, 2023. I do like Panera Bread and will probably come back. I just hope the condition of the restaurant is much better. I have to say the employees preparing the hot food did a great job and did their best to accommodate the customers. It is because of this and the fact the food is good that is preventing me from giving this place a one star. By the way there was still trash all over the floor after being here for an hour when I finally saw someone clean this up....
